I would not recommend this leasing agency based on our experience. Our tenancy ended early due to the landlord cancelling shortly after the six-month mark, which placed significant pressure on our family with three children. Despite us cooperating fully and vacating early for the landlord’s benefit, the agency later supported an attempt to introduce additional rent charges that were never communicated to us at the time. A major issue is that their leasing contracts are internally contradictory, particularly around cleaning requirements. Multiple clauses state “thorough cleaning,” while only one mentions “professional cleaning,” creating inconsistency that appears designed to catch tenants out at move-out. Throughout the process, the assigned agent, Sarah, consistently took the landlord’s side, even where charges were raised after we had vacated and despite clear miscommunication. Several charges were later withdrawn, which only highlighted how poorly handled the situation was. Overall, there was a lack of transparency, poor communication, and little regard for the impact on tenants. If you are renting through this agency, read every clause carefully and get everything in writing — especially around move-out, rent, and cleaning expectations.

Great, efficient and quality service in both recently letting our property and its ongoing management

We've been working with Aoife since before she was at H&L, and we've been very happy with the level of service and outcomes. She is very responsive on email, and always available for a call. She's been quick to find replacement tenants when needed, and is very knowledgeable about the Dublin market and real estate laws and tax regulations, which has been very valuable to us as overseas clients. H&L also has a robust email and messaging system, and does a good job managing documents and processes.
