No-nonsense approach from John and the team. I needed to prune + reduce the height of 3 trees right next to my house. One large tree located in a very tight 1.5m strip behind the house with large branches hanging over the roof. John came over to take a look and gave me no obligation quote. He explained all safety precautions that they will take to make absolutely sure that nothing gets damaged. They ended up sorting out a huge tree in front of the property too after all; I will be able to sleep better now during red weather alert ;) All sorted in less than 24h from the first call. Very good and thorough clean up job too. They even raked decorative stone / pebbles in the driveway that got dislodged after driving the cherry-picker around. I know who I will be calling 1st whenever I have any landscaping needs!
Avoid at all costs - a true review from a retired woman living on her own (who has always respected other peoples property) If I could give 0 stars I would but unfortunately that is not an option. The three individuals from Donohue's caused damage to the flat roof of my garage and showed total lack of respect for my property when they called to cut down the neighbours extremely high tree. These heavy and multiple branches were so many they practically covered the flat roof of my garage. They did not take the necessary precautions such as using ropes to pull the heavy branches into the garden of the owner of the tree. As my garage is at least 3ft from the boundary wall there was ABSOLUTELY no need for anything to hit my garage roof. This was a complete rush job on behalf of Donohue's - with no respect for safety. When I looked out my back room window ( as I was completely unaware that they were present) and saw the number of branches on my garage roof I called out multiple times but was ignored. I would like to highlight three points 1) they did not call to my door to inform me of their intentions and ask my permission - my car was parked in my driveway 2) damaging the flat roof of my garage. 3) leaving my property in a mess
Tree removed and a large tree pruned and brought to a manageable height. Hedge trimmed. John and his team left the place spotless. Great team work and very polite. Very happy with the job done. Would definitely get them back in the future as the need arises. Highly recommended.
