The music stops for about 20 minutes every night, machines broken for months, machines dirty. Very little ventilation, there is only 1 fan which is absurd. The gym is good but needs investment!
I’ve been a member of planet health on and off the past year and today I decided to terminate my membership. The gym has been a place where I’ve been able to deal with my own struggles but today showed me that Planet Health Waterford is NOT the place for me. Within the past year I’ve had multiple elderly men try to touch me while in the sauna, message me on dating apps and offer me money to have intercourse with them. The female staff and the gym have been nothing but nice to me anytime I have been in there , as for the men, 🤷♀️ I completely understand every gym has their own rules but with the experiences I’ve had in my own life and the way I’ve been treated by MEN , I would never step foot into planet health Waterford again.
The gym is excellent, however it could be improved in some details such as: having another low rowing machine, heavier dumbbells (25kg) in the machine area, another crossover machine, and maintaining a constant temperature of 19ºC, as the gym is very cold in winter.
Machines are good, lot of hammer strength and lot of cables here. Good selection of weights cables and machines so you can hit the muscles from different angles. There were a few issues though; namely the machines were not well maintained, some of the machines were super worn out and never had any maintenance done for a long time it seems. The treadmill was missing buttons and no one bothered to fix that. The abs crunch machine was missing bits of foam which could have been replaced promptly. The water was leaking for 3-4 days straight yet was ignored. Other than those maintenance issues, the gym overall is solid!
Best gym in Waterford. Extremely sociable staff and very helpful in every way. The classes are free with your membership includes the spin classes around, yoga, pilates and much more.
