My and my friend Dagmara Czuba had been dealing with Deirdre Gough recently. We were interested to rent a commercial property on Ferrybank in Waterford. Since May 2025 communications was very difficult - the agent replied to emails very rarely and we had to wait several weeks for any response. Everything took nearly 6 months and unfortunately the contract was never signed ! All this happened because the agent has never told us that the property has no planning permission for retail shop. Deirdre look after that property from few years, so we feel cheated. All that happened due to her lack of competence. All these concealed information we got from our solicitor we had to hire for several months which cost us over €600. Deirdre misled us as a potential customers and provided incorrect information about the property. We recommend checking everything carefully before signing any contract, as you might end up facing unnecessary stress and costs like we did. We have to mention Katie, which is the Senior Rental Administrator in the office. She is a lovely person and was always very helpful.

Ennis Gough is the absolute best auctioneer and landlord in the county. They are personable. They truly care about their tenants. They respond to tenants' issues in a fast and professional manner. Although we have never bought a property or dwelling from Ennis Gough; we have witnessed their day to day operations as sellers of properties as we were in their office paying our rent. Buying a home is a life decision and a very stressful time. We've seen Ennis Gough tend to each of their clients putting them at ease and never pressuring the sale. They walk each client through the process and just don't hand keys over and say bye-bye. They actually follow, though, and make sure each client is happy with their new home. The day we're ready to buy, we will be using Ennis Gough for our first home purchase in Ireland.
