Small gym, very crowded. Equipment is good but not much weights for heavy lifting. The owner is super sweet and the people too. They were enjoying themselves at the gym and seeing me lift heavy.
Awesome gym, super friendly and English-speaking staff/owner. I came here once at 8 am on a Wednesday during my 3 day stay in Naples and a day pass was 10 euros, 1/3 of the price of another gym I went to in Rome. I paid with cash and owner was very cute and got another lady to give me 10 euros in change as he didn’t have any at the start. The gym is small but 2 floors and mostly well equipped, dumbbells were hard to read the weight of at times but you can eventually figure it out. Not too crowded when I went and people were friendly inside (one guy asked me if it was ok if he opened the window, and idk why I was the only person he asked). A lady also showed me the bathroom, Wi-Fi, gave me a lock and locker, and told me where to put my stuff. After my workout I was going to purchase a protein drink for 2 euros but I only had 5, so the owner gave it to me for free and wished me a happy new year. What a highlight and what an amazing experience. Highly recommended for tourists looking to continue their routine during vacation.
Everything you would expect from a good, small, napolitean gym. A bit old and chaotic, but charming and fully equipped. Day rate is 10 Euro. You can get a discount if you go multiple days. I got some money back after we discovered i paid to come train on sunday as well, a day on which they are closed. Very correct. Friendly and English speaking personnel. Perfect for tourists. Thanks!
I can highly recommend The Body Gym to everyone - the team is incredibly nice and the atmosphere is very familiar. The boss himself helps out every day and cleans the studio, for example. Everything is very clean, the equipment is great and you can always borrow more materials (resistance bands, utensils for machines, etc.). In addition, the members and trainers are very friendly and helpful. The price-performance ratio couldn't have been better! I couldn't have asked for a better gym in Naples for the 3 months.
Not recommended at all! Don't go, it's not worth the money. The gym is always extremely busy, so much that you always have to wait for machines and most times don't find place to do any free training/ weights etc. Following a plan is impossible. I asked to quite my membership after the day (which was extremely busy but they wouldn't let me (I also offered to pay one month and just get the rest back no chance). They told me it would get better...it didn't. I also wanted to join one of the offered courses included in the package but they would let me participate as I already trained for 40 min before in the room. They told me I would take the place of another person. Of course, they slammed 50 people in a maybe 10m2 room. The machines and equipment are quite old, mats are very slippery. Trainers are constantly walking around but only focus on ther clients. I even had to help a guy who could get his weight form his chest while a stuff member was just walking buy. There is never toilet paper in the changing rooms. Because of all the people it also smells pretty bad. The stuff members are all very friendly, but this doesn't make the gym better. There's is another palestra just around the corner in the plasma. Much newer equipment, less crowded, more rooms, and for the same price.
