When I searched online, I initially thought I was contacting another lawyer with the same name, who has a longer career and has extensive online information. Only when we met in person did I realize he was a colleague with the same name, which initially caused some confusion. I needed legal assistance in drawing up a preliminary real estate purchase agreement in Rome. He reviewed the documents and prepared a draft contract, but the overall experience was disappointing: insufficient assistance during the signing of the preliminary agreement, a document sent only after over a month and after several reminders, some of my emails went unanswered, and on one occasion I was even told I hadn't responded to an email, when in fact I had already sent two replies. The assistance on the day of the signing was not in person but only by phone and for a limited time, despite the fact that the signing took about two hours and significant issues arose. Some clauses in the final contract proved less protective than I expected, and I only realized this later. In the days leading up to the signing, there were also misunderstandings regarding key aspects of the agreement, which were not promptly clarified despite having been reported. An important warning regarding the deposit, highlighted by the real estate agent, was, in my opinion, not addressed in detail and later proved to be well-founded. Finally, I had to repeatedly request a copy of the signed professional fee document over the course of several weeks, receiving it only after repeated reminders. Overall, while I appreciate the work done, I didn't feel supported with the attention, clarity, and presence expected in such a delicate transaction. I would have appreciated greater presence and support, especially during the most crucial moments of the process.
