Massive, prehistoric-era turtle. Allows climbing on it and doesn't complain. Holds up to 300 kg. Recommended. 13.06.2020
The bronze turtle sculpture in Jurmala is a small but very charming landmark and a lovely surprise during a walk along the beach. It is beautifully made and stands in a pleasant, open area that invites people to stop for a moment, take photos, and enjoy the relaxed seaside atmosphere. Despite its simple size, it has a lot of character and fits perfectly into Jurmala’s calm and nature-focused setting. We really enjoyed coming across it during our stroll along the coast. A nice little highlight that adds extra charm to the Jurmala beach experience.
Before visiting this place check the feel like whether. It isn’t +20 Celsius don’t go. That place is very cold. Entrance fee 3€
An iconic symbol of the resort. If you are in Jurmala, don’t miss it. You will find the sculpture easily. A bronze turtle stands in front of the beach with white Jurmala letters inscription in the middle of it. The resort is rich of interesting architecture and there are many vacationers everywhere. Worth visiting to feel the vibe.
Nothing great here. Just a turtle statue with wings. People can sit on top of the turtle and take pictures. One good thing is that it overlooks the sea and there are seats around the side for relaxing.
