I've been literally excluded from this gym by the girl at the reception .. because at that gym you need to come exclusively with 2 pair of shoes. All other gyms in the center like Upitis, Riga Galleria and the other shopping mall in the old town are chill. Good gym overall, just bad staff at Matiss.
Very spacious, a ton of training equipment, and doesn't feel crowded in any way! Staff at the reception was very nice and friendly. Highly recommended!!
Is there an embassy or training center? I have a membership. Today, my friend and I came to play table tennis, but she didn't allow my friend in because he forgot his documents. We wanted to show an e-version, but she was like a robot and just said no. I was embarrassed in front of my friend.Hey there! I was wondering if there's a training center or an embassy affiliated with this place. I actually have a membership already, which is pretty cool. I came there to train and you can’t get a day pass if you don’t have a passport with you, driver’s license and bank card with photo and Social Security number is not valid. I’ve been to over 70 countries so far and I have never heard of something like this. I mean it’s Europe, right? Who ever made it as a protocol, that person has to be fired. And also 85€ for a monthly pass is a crazy price, considering the average wages in Latvia.
The best gym that I have visited in Riga so far. The equipment is new and is in perfect condition. You get all the props you need for your work out. Literally the place isn't missing a thing. They've got it all! The little minor cons for me is the glass door in the sauna doesn't close well and some fresh air is getting in.
