Apostille / Translations PFAT

Yesterday, I visited PFAT to obtain an apostille for an official document that needed to be sent abroad. Unfortunately, my request was rejected for what I believe was an incorrect reason. They told that the person who signed my document was not an authorized representative of the university. However, this information is totally incorrect . The person who issued and signed my document is fully authorized by the university, and their signature is officially registered for apostille purposes. As I understand it, in cases of uncertainty, the service should contact the university to verify the signature before refusing the application. I am not sure what database or records were used to reach this conclusion. What makes this even more confusing is that I had previously apostilled a very similar document without any issues. That document was also signed by an authorized university representative, who actually held a lower position than the person who signed my current document. I honestly do not understand what changed, but this experience has been extremely disappointing and has significantly reduced my trust in this service. I sincerely hope this situation will be taken seriously, the verification process will be reviewed, and this issue will be resolved so that other applicants do not face the same problem.

At first everything was well - easy to communicate, fast translation. But they are expensive - 4 one side a4 papers with notary cost 160€ with discount. The very end left me dissapointed. When I took the documents, I had forgotten that I checked for them to be scanned in the survey that they asked to fill as well. I called them and they asked to bring them back to do it. When I entered the office and told the younger lady with brown hair what happened and what I was promised, she complained that my survey will take 30 minutes for her to find and she asked my name multiple times. At first I ignored the comment but then she claimed that I had not paid for the scan. I said that I wrote down that I needed it and on the phone they approved that they will do it. She made a remark multiple times that I should have notified them as well, not only written it down. (Am I at fault that they did not check it and do I need to double check everything that I need from them?) Then she said that each paper will cost 1,50€ to scan. Because of the attitude I changed my mind and agreed to not do it. Then the lady gave me back my documents without plastic sleave and when I kindly aaked her that I need them - she threw them at me and said that she can give me more. I left feeling very unvalued as a customer. Fast but expensive and customer service was lacking.
