When I called and asked if they would be on vacation at the end of July - the first week of August, they said no. Then we agreed on the email address to send the application for a power of attorney. When everything was sent, the answer was that due to the notary's vacation, they would only be able to serve from August 14. When I asked why the different information was given over the phone, the answer was that the office would be working with the notary's representative and that the employee who prepares the powers of attorney would be on vacation. This means that the office is not ready to prepare a power of attorney, even if you apply 6 weeks before the visit agreed upon by phone and even if different information was given over the phone. Of course, I could not respond positively to the office's answer "if you really want to come to us", because I understood that clients are unwanted for power of attorney, their efforts and time are not respected.
Kaunas 8th notary office is the best one in Kaunas, and I MEAN IT! I was able to arrange power of attorney documents for my 80 years old mother, all done remotely over Teams (using eNotaras.lt). Simonas, who is running the 8th office, is highly professional, kind and understanding person, belongs to a new generation of public officials.
