This gym omg! has everything and more. The facilities are great and the environment gives good vibes love it. It’s my happy place every time visiting Amsterdam.
I have been a client of TrainMore Oost Black Label for many years and have always considered it a high-standard gym. However, since the middle of last year, the experience has significantly declined. The gym is constantly overcrowded, with an excessive number of people training at the same time. Equipment is almost always occupied, long waiting times are common, and due to the extreme crowding, there are even queues to use the bathrooms. In addition, trash bins are often overflowing, and there is frequently no paper available to clean the machines, which negatively affects hygiene and comfort. Another important issue is the long delay in repairing broken equipment, which often remains out of service for extended periods, further worsening the overcrowding. The gym has stopped being a pleasant place to train. Considering that there are around 6,000 registered members, the waiting time to complete a workout becomes unreasonably long. I sincerely hope these issues will be addressed, as TrainMore has always had a premium positioning, and I would very much like to return to the positive experience I had for so many years.
The gym is fine if you’re able to go during business hours. After work, though, it’s insanely crowded every single day. Be prepared to wait for pretty much any machine or equipment. My main issue is the pricing and overall value for money. It’s extremely overpriced, and they raise their rates every year. I was offered a so-called “deal” to extend my membership — which actually meant a price increase of over 20%. When I brought this up with a staff member, the response was completely nonchalant. They simply don’t seem to care. Trainmore feels like one big money grab in Amsterdam, charging €88 per period (13 times a year). What bothers me most is the broken equipment (including showers, the protein machine, and the water fountain) and the staff. There are plenty of them around, but they mostly hang out behind the counter, laughing and chatting with each other and influencers instead of helping members or maintaining the gym. Great marketing strategy, but a shallow experience overall. For example, they launched a “challenge” in October promising a gift (free socks) to members who visited 20+ times in November and December. It’s now mid-February, and there’s still no sign of the rewards. Do yourself a favor and look at other options before signing up here.
A fantastic space. I was here for a few days and our hotel gave us access to this gym. I was unsure what to expect but the level of quality here is amazing. It has everything you need from fixed machines to free weights and everything in between. There’s also lifting platform and Eleiko bumpers, you can fill your shakers with protein and enjoy a coffee before/after your session. I will definitely be returning.
Super nice gym at Amsterdam! Location is excellent and I loved the Booty Club class. Bora checked me in! We was lovely!!
