We were very happy with our home inspection, which was carried out by Guido. He was extremely thorough and took the time to explain every finding clearly. For some of the more critical points, we had many follow-up questions, and Guido answered them patiently and in detail. He even reviewed some of the building’s documents (including the VvE notes) to help us understand the potential implications. We truly felt we were in good hands and would highly recommend this service.
Raoul showed his professionalism and enthusiasm as he walked me through all the inspection details around the apartment. He also speaks good English. The process for reservation, receiving quote, payment & receiving the report was fast and smooth. I’d definitely use HouseCheck’s service again at my next purchase.
Great Service by Guido and the team. I needed a house inspection for a flat in Amsterdam on short notice. Guido made himself available in super short notice, inspected the house exhaustively and in top, answered any question I had with his honest and open opinion. He explained the good and the bad, the risks and gave multiple recommendations. This is the kind of advice you want to have when buying your first house! Thank you very much!
First of all, there was no inspection of the garden shed and fence. We found some issues after living in the house for 3 months and had to pay 2500 euros to fix it. After a call with Guido he mentioned the garden is not in included in the inspection. It should have been made more clear before the inspection. Second, at the time we bought the house we wanted to hire the best guy for technical inspection. There were professionals with good reviews willing to do it for 350 euros but we went ahead with guido based on the reviews and paid 600 euros for it. At the end, I don't think it was worth it. Most of it is visual inspection with some knocks here and there. May be that's how everyone does it. But then why pay almost double the amount? May be it is expertise. May be he sees things that other miss. However, our friends had it done by someone who charged 350 euros and his report was as good as any. Guido's report on whatever he inspected was good. But in the end, I think I could have gotten a similar report for half the price.
I've worked with HouseCheck twice recently for residential technical inspections in Amsterdam. They provide a very professional, high quality service! In addition to being accommodating and customer-friendly, they have a strong technical knowledge and their structural reports are comprehensive. Guido in particular has been a pleasure to work with. Recommended!
