Genuinely a great product at a good price! Initially, we thought long and hard about which brand to go for; eventually, after a long search, we ended up on this website. No regrets at all; installation is (childishly) simple, I must say. The user manual is clear!
We bought the 72 cm wide cooktop with extractor fan. Overall, it's positive: nice design, extractor fan works well, nice mid-sized cooktop, easy to operate, and easy to connect. However, a few things stand out: - The included ductwork is a different size. Therefore, it can't easily be connected to the standard 220 mm size. I made an adapter using the 3D printer. This allowed it to be connected to a ductwork that exhausts the air outdoors. (See photo) - Furthermore, the extractor fan's casing was of poor quality. Air was being forced through holes and cracks in several places. Since we wanted the exhaust to be outdoors, I naturally wanted all the air to be vented outdoors. This meant we had to seal quite a few areas. One of the places that forced out the most air was near the filter. It has a hole on the outside, which is part of the design. I had to seal that as well. (See photo) - I find the extractor fan quite loud. I don't have experience with other brands' integrated extractors. So I can't tell if this one is louder than other brands or if I just need to get used to it. All in all, it took extra investment to install the product the way we wanted. But once connected, it works well.
We have had the Howat 4-in-1 installed for almost a year now and are very satisfied with this tap, and certainly with the service from Howat! A small part of the tap was missing, but this was arranged quickly and neatly by the team (thanks Teun!). The space you need in the cupboard is really minimal; what a difference when you look at other models. A beautiful and compact boiler. And that doesn't come at the expense of your hot water; you really have more than enough with it. The tap was super easy to install with very clear instruction videos; any DIYer can do this! It also looks super sleek, and the packaging was nicely done too. Top product! The only difference we notice is that you have to wait a little longer for boiling water than a Quooker, for example, but it is still much faster than a kettle! (I made a video of this, but unfortunately, I cannot share it.) It also makes slightly more noise than comparable products when the boiler is being refilled, but this is also relative. Super satisfied; we recommend this to everyone!
Today, January 4, 2025, I'm installing the Howat faucet. First, I removed the old faucet before I could install it. After removing it, I installed the Howat faucet and fully connected it. The faucet sits securely on the countertop, and connecting it wasn't a problem for me. Now I'll use the faucet and write the rest of this review to see if I like it. After two months of use, I'm very pleased with it. There's only one drawback, and that, as has been mentioned before, is the noise from the water heater. It's quite noisy during heating, and sometimes a popping sound comes from the faucet. I don't know how to solve the noise from the faucet, but I did manage to reduce the boiler noise considerably with a Howat soundproofing blanket. So, Howat, if you want to improve anything, please do something about the sound insulation of the water heater. Otherwise, an excellent faucet. Thanks!
Excellent price, quality and customer service.
