I had a very positive experience working with Nicolette during our apartment search in Rotterdam for my daughter. As international applicants living in Japan, we had many questions about the Dutch rental process, and Nicolette was always responsive, patient, and helpful in guiding us through the various steps. She arranged communication with landlords, provided clear explanations, and supported us throughout the application process. We especially appreciated her professionalism, transparency, and willingness to assist despite the challenges of coordinating everything remotely from abroad. I don't recommend it. They were responsive until I settled into the house and made the payment, and I think the positive reviews about them only apply before you move in. However, after you move in and during your stay, while you're waiting for your deposit to be refunded, it's very difficult to reach them. Messages left on the phone and the HousingAnywhere website went unanswered, emails were ignored, and it took weeks to get my deposit back... If it's an emergency, you have to send at least 6-7 emails. They respond to emails days later. You can tell they don't work professionally. When you move in, someone comes and gives you the key, but they don't even inform you about the house or the building. When you move out, there is no staff member to inspect the house. That's why they cause problems during the deposit refund period. Be careful, they try to make you pay for damage that has nothing to do with you 😃 My advice is to take pictures. They tried to deduct a large amount from my deposit, claiming there was a crack in the marble table, which had nothing to do with me. Luckily, I had taken photos when I entered and left the apartment and explained to them that it had nothing to do with me. They say they'll get back to you and then disappear. They themselves aren't sure about the procedure and ask each other questions. Everything seems great until you move in, but once you start living there and it's time to check out, it's almost impossible to get in touch with anyone, either by phone or email. They don't answer or say they're busy. I don't recommend this place. There is nothing in the paper you sign that protects your rights. It's just an agency focused on protecting their own interests. You have no contract security. This situation stresses you out. Especially if you are a student (you probably have a limited student budget), they constantly put you in a difficult position. In the apartment, there's a strong odor coming from the toilet and bathroom drains. The sheets and pillows provided were stained and had hair and fur on them. The street is extremely noisy. Disappointed !!!!!
