I had the best experience working with Schaeffer in getting the Geemente of Amsterdam to approval a nearly impossible ask. Maarten and his team members have always been responsive to my questions. I had a pleasant experience and excellent collaboration. Communication was clear and professional. The permit application was also handled completely and correctly for me.
Absolutely not worth the money. The renovations from the entire house were done faster than the final drawing of the architect (after the preliminary drawing). Apart from that we got conflicting advise about what would be permitted or not by the municipality. The first drawings were designed with the requirements of a 'newly built home', while our house is from 1900. Poor communication and the architect decided our permits could be requested months later, because 'he was on holiday' for a month without communication, endangering the start date of our project. Meanwhile we apparently paid for a way bigger project that we initially scoped but was never executed (5.5k for a lot of effort from ourselves and frustration for free). Really amazed by all things that we experienced.
We received excellent guidance from Studioschaeffer during the renovation, renewal, extension, and addition of our house on Ameland. Architect Aukje Schukken beautifully managed to restore details from the 1936 construction year, which had disappeared over the years, into the design. Throughout the process, she was easily accessible to us and flexible in scheduling meetings, during which our wishes were listened to carefully and ideas were actively considered.
