Be very careful, especially as an expat. At first everything looked great: they found me an apartment in 3 days, fast and responsive. Reality: the apartment was 37 m² in a bad Utrecht area and priced at €1850/month with a few bad quality furniture, far above legal limits. It wasn’t advertised anywhere else for a reason. Something an experienced agent should know, especially when the landlord presented 2 separate contracts (1 for rent and 1 for forniture). I was just arrived in the Netherlands so i didn't know the legal prices and terms and I think this agency took advantage on my ignorance in the matter. They pushed the contract without proper checks. After signing, I discovered serious issues and by contacting the agency again I was told they hadn’t even reviewed the contracts because the landlord didn’t share it with them, something they should have disclosed upfront as red flag but stayed in silence waiting for my payment to go through before disappearing. Result: almost a year fighting the landlord through the Huurcommissie on my own which at the end I won. The agency disappeared, offered zero support, took no responsibility blaming on me to sign th contract, and refused a refund for their service despite admitting they didn’t check the contracts before signing. Contract's check was also part of our agreement that I paid . I now expect their classic reply "we checked but we cannot find you in our system" Don't be fooled . Plenty of agencies out there for rentals , just be careful and go to someone that adopt less "scummy" procedures to make money.

I’ve had a great experience with 123wonen. Our situation was pretty complicated (we’re expats), and finding a rental apartment felt almost impossible after searching for over two months. I was struggling to find a place on my own for quite a while and decided to make use of their services which was one of the best decisions as I am now living within a lovely apartment and it only took a few weeks.
