I mostly been going to City Sammen and it is quite spacious offering lot of activities on reservations and have been training with PT for six months which was awesome. There’s sauna too to relax after workout and the staff is kind and helpful.
Dirty, especially in winter. They provide one time use plastic over boots (shame on the plastic), but that doesn’t help when people are still using their outdoor shoes in the changing room AND putting their dirty shoes in the lockers. Not to mention the tobacco in there. The gym is packed with people in peak hours, so be prepared to wait for the machine you want to use. And if you’re exercising when the CrossFit People are there, remember to bring ear plugs, because they play the music painfully loud. Happy that they finally have several hip thrust machines.
This gym is a nice opportunity for one drop in training, so I can recommend it. Lots of machines and racks, clean, concept behind everything. But there are a few things you need to be aware of: Some stations and areas are constantly blocked. And if I write blocked, I mean blocked like in someone blocks on a machine for at least 20 minutes, including parking their bag there for 10 minutes, making their first set and after that at least 5 minutes rest before continuing. If one person is finally done after their intense resting routine, you have to be really fast for training or there will be another round of blocking. Women are also forced by gym rules to wear a shirt, not only a sports bra or top. I can understand that as far as you are concerned about not having someone's sweat on the machines. But there is this excellent invention called towel, protecting machines from sweat even with or without additional shirt. So just have that in mind and enjoy your training.
Very well stocked gym. Whatever your preferred method of torture, this place can cater to it. From very well stocked free weights and an entire row of squat racks, to a state of the art bike room or the entire middle area dedicated to every form of cross fit training you can imagine, this place can help you with anything towards self improvement. The staff are also very friendly and will take time to help you get set up with whatever you need. It can get pretty packed in the evening so plan accordingly if that's not your thing.
No much more to say than that it's a great gym! The atmosphere is really good and motivating and this gym offers a lot of possibilities. Enough squat racks and enough space for group trainings. Machines are really good. When it comes to me the dress code is not necessary as it is not allowed to work out in tops but only in tshirts.
