Although we chose the materials ourselves, we asked Vinderen to handle the purchasing on our behalf. This was a great decision, as it removed any worry about procurement and ensured the schedule was not delayed. Whenever we were dissatisfied with something, Knut addressed our concerns promptly and even decided to redo some work to meet our expectations. The quality of the workmanship was good. The workers were friendly and approachable, always willing to clarify and offer suggestions. The warranty provided is solid. Pricing was roughly average for the industry — you might find cheaper options, but Vinderen’s prices are aligned with standard Norwegian industry practices, so there were no big surprises. Some additional costs arose due to unforeseen issues, which is normal when renovating an old bathroom from scratch. Be prepared for a lot of dust during the renovation, but at our request, the team added extra protective layers to safeguard the rest of the house. How a company handles warranty claims is the single greatest divider between a great company and a terrible one. Luckily my bathroom was renovated by Vinderen Bad & Våtrom, so when we encountered a problem with our shower a few years later they not only arrived to figure the problem out immediately, they also started work as soon as the problem was identified. Do not wait, hire this company for your bathroom renovation! I had multiple contractors come to my home to look at my bathroom project... and I knew immediately that they were right for the job. It was an ambitious project with complete demolition, extension of new bathroom, connections to new kitchen, new plumbing , tiling - the whole nine yards. They were transparent with what was possible and what was not, and did not take advantage of me financially. They were direct. In fact, I really feel like I got what I paid for and more. They were in touch with me everyday, super friendly, and the boss, Simen, was checking the working constantly to make sure the job was perfect. This is actually the first and only perfect experience I have had with a contractor in Norway. I cannot emphasize how appreciative I am that they did not up-sell unnecessary jobs/services to gain profit, but that they gave me options on how to invest in my bathroom the smart way. This is a hard quality to find! 100% recommend!
