We recently discovered a crack on the underside of the kitchen sink. The crack is not visible from above and has never shown any leakage or signs of external damage. In our opinion, this is a hidden defect, but the complaint was rejected on the grounds that the sink is just over five years old. We feel that the case has not been properly assessed, but rejected on a general basis. I have now been waiting for three weeks to get a price for a new sink. This is not good enough. In addition, we have had problems with the quality of several other deliveries. The front of the dishwasher and the bathroom sinks (both in the Mano series) have been damaged because the foil came off after exposure to normal steam and water. This happened within the first year. In our opinion, kitchen and bathroom fittings should withstand normal use without the surface wearing away so quickly. Overall, we are left with an experience of poor quality and not very solution-oriented customer service. When investing in a new kitchen and bathroom, you expect better durability and better follow-up than this. After completely renovating a house, the only thing I regret is the supplier of kitchen and bathroom fittings.
I wish I had read a review like this before I chose Kvik. Kvik sells kitchens as flat-packed individual parts, but without stating the price per part. The customer only receives the total price per module. When you receive incorrectly delivered parts or have to return goods, there is no way to know what you actually paid for each individual part, or what you will be refunded. In my case, I received several parts that were not supposed to be used, which Kvik later confirmed. Nevertheless, I only received one overall refund without specification and without knowing the value of the parts in advance. Several assembly manuals contained errors. This led to the dismantling of already assembled cabinets. On several occasions, I was subsequently told by Kvik's own assembly experts that the assembly instructions should not be followed because they were incorrect. I have previously installed 4 kitchens from IKEA and 2 from Epoq, and the difference is significant. There, the assembly instructions were correct and the process was much simpler. The employees I have been in contact with have been pleasant and helpful. This does not appear to be a personnel problem, but rather a result of inadequate systems, poor documentation, misleading campaigns and non-transparent pricing. The kitchen itself is perfectly fine, but the overall experience, in my experience, does not meet a professional standard.
We received incredibly good help from Silje Tokheim at Kvik Stavanger. We are very happy with our new kitchen. The dialogue has been brilliant all the way, both on the phone, by email and physically in the store. I recommend Kvik Stavanger to anyone considering a new kitchen 😊
Sofie helped us design the social kitchen we dreamed of! We went through many iterations before we landed on the final design - here there was dialogue by phone, email and SMS in addition to design lessons in the store. We encountered some obstacles regarding the availability of countertops and rounded posts - they handled this well and came up with solutions so that we reached the finish line by the desired date. I am left with the impression that Kvik really goes the extra mile to ensure that you as a customer are satisfied. Would definitely choose Kvik again.
