We chose a broker from EIE after looking around online for brokerage houses and brokers with good ratings. We felt that we were sold during the first meeting with the broker, but that the work afterwards did not measure up to the expectations that were presented. Good: - Accommodating broker. Very busy, but mostly got a conversation with us when we needed it. - When we were going to buy a new home, we got help with seeing what homes in the area had recently sold for. We also got tips on strategy around the bidding round and things to think about. - Felt that a good job was done by the broker during the bidding round. Bad: - Communication via email was a bit frustrating. We often did not receive confirmation that emails from us had been read/received and had to wonder if the broker had received the email. When we had questions, it was quite often that the response from the broker lacked answers to some of the questions we had, and we had to ask again. - Among the expectations was that the broker would have a lot of time for our home, but the work afterwards was characterized by poor timing. Among other things, errors and missing information in the sales statement that we had to correct through several iterations (felt like we did a relatively big job reading and correcting the sales statement). - At the viewing, the broker could not answer any of the questions that the prospective buyer had. It would therefore seem that the broker had not become familiar with our home and/or housing association. We only had one person at the viewing and the broker was on the phone without following the person around. Fortunately, it was bought by the one who came to the viewing. This information comes from the buyer who we talked to afterwards. We had done a better job at the viewing itself. Other: - We chose this broker because of the good rating of both EIE and the broker himself. The rating for the broker is however on meglerprofil.no, and it seems that not just anyone can post a review there (I have not been able to add any reviews myself), without the brokers themselves doing so. It therefore seems that the reviews on meglerprofil are a selective selection, and are misleading. We have also not been asked to provide feedback to the broker or EIE. - It was a slow market and many homes were not sold. That could be a reason why the broker did not have much time. But that is just speculation. Overall experience: OK- Would I use them again? No.

Based on recommendations, we chose Daniel Lanto as our real estate agent when we were selling our home. It turned out to be the best choice we could have made! Professional, committed and confident throughout the entire process, accommodating and available no matter what we were wondering about. Every step was orderly and well thought out, and the sale went like a dream in a market that was a bit slow when we were going to sell. If you want a real estate agent who knows what he is doing and is genuinely interested in doing a good job, then Daniel is highly recommended!
