If I could give more than 5 stars to Cesar Parreira and JPVA, I would - unfortunately Google doesn't permit more than five. Our experience with Cesar was unsurpassed. He is very knowledgeable about the real estate market, and made great suggestions about what neighborhoods in Lisbon would be a good fit for us. He understood what our budget was and what we wanted in an apartment and did not waste our time with mismatched listings. When we focused in on some options he sent us a very detailed video walkthrough he made to help us decide. When we had decided on a place, he negotiated a later date and prepared the rental agreement. He and his team also set up our electricity, water and WI-FI so that we didn't have to try to figure that out in an unfamiliar language. And his help didn't stop there - he picked me up at my hotel and drove me to the apartment when I moved in, and even took me to IKEA to shop for some necessary items like dishes, pans and towels. Since then he has continued to be a resource and liaison for issues that arise - like getting the landlord to send a plumber for a running toilet. I recommend him and JPVA highly for anyone moving to Lisbon who needs help with finding a place to live.
