We worked with Diego Fontela when we started to browse for properties and he was so persistent with follow ups and showed us exactly what we were looking for. Within the 2nd visit with him he found us an off market jem! He was also very helpful, went out of his way to accommodate our requests and even continued to help and support us after the closing. We had the same experience with Susana Dourado who was back office helping with the documentation etc. And she was equally helpful and continued to even help with stuff like utilities etc as we were new to the market. Definitely recommend Engle and Volkers and definitely commend both Diego and Susanna for their excellent service.

We were able to sell our Porto apartment using Engel & Volkers and were very satisfied with their professional services. Our transaction was quite complex but their in house counsel Susana was able to make sure that all the details were fully negotiated and addressed for both sides - just impressive and a pleasure to deal with ! Pedro also was a pleasure to deal and very professional and I would certainly use their services again!

Added August 13, 2024 This issue could be solved after multiple attempts. My husband and I have trusted Engel and Völkers for years, having rented with them around the globe without any issues. Given their reputation, we didn't hesitate to trust them again when searching for a new apartment. Unfortunately, this time, our experience has been wonderful. We were shown a beautiful apartment with non-functional electricity and other outside repairs required. 🔌 Despite these issues, we were pressured into signing a "hold" document at their office afterward, with assurances that there was no risk involved. 👉 We were told it was merely to show our interest, no risk involved, and that we could review the place again once everything was fixed. 👈 Based on our previous positive experiences with Engel and Völkers, we signed the document and wired one month's rent, which was the hold amount. However, after receiving the final rental contract—which we hadn't seen prior—we decided not to proceed. Now, the realtor claims that our money is gone due to the hold document we signed, despite never having shown us a fully functioning apartment or the rental contract in advance. This approach feels deceptive and unethical, especially coming from a company with such a strong global reputation. 🚨We strongly urge others to be cautious when dealing with "hold contracts".
