John Johnston came to my flat. That was not up to his west end standards as he commented on how small the space was. He had no part for the appliance with him as he had made an error in jotting down the model number. I needed the job done ASAP to which he answered that the part would take 7 to 10 days for delivery. I said that was no use for me. I told him that I would do the job myself as I purchased the item on the internet while he was looking busy in my small kitchen,( Next day delivery).I asked John when I had purchased the part being delivered next day if he could manage to come round to install the part. He said he was busy. I asked what the cost was for coming to see the appliance. It was £78. Talk about daylight robbery. I was issued with an invoice for his work which read. Call and test unit. He turned a dial and pushed start on the washing machine. Remove split door gasket. I was doing the job myself there was no need. Last he claimed to order new parts
I reside in Glasgow & have succesfully used John Johnston for two recent washing machine repairs in a flat we lease in Bothwell Road, Aberdeen. Being remote I need highly reliable, skillful and prompt tradesman to carry out essential works. On both occassions the tenants' clothes were stuck in the machine & - on both occassions - John mobilised swiftly to implement the repair the next day. I would not hesitate recommending using John - he provides a reliable, friendly, respectful and highly efficient service.
My tenant called me with the a leaking washing machine. I was concerned for the flat below being damaged so I just did a quick Google search and found John Johnstone. He was very helpful, and attended the next day. All fixed and repaired in no time at all. Highly recommended.
John has now mended our washing machine and dishwasher. He is highly professional, honest and technically excellent. His knowledge, experience and advice are first class. I wouldn't consider using anyone else!
Have always used John to mend our now ancient washing machine, for getting on for 10 years now. Probably 3 or even 4 visits in that time. Always helpful and gives good service at a fair price. He is also one of very few who will come out into rural Aberdeenshire - and will turn up. Not sure about why the other reviewers are so negative as it doesn't sound like the same person at all. Happy to recommend.
