When I first came to AKR Fitness, I was asked a simple question: “Why are you here?” My answer was simple too: I wanted to manage my weight and improve my health. But over time, I received much more than that. AKR became a place I genuinely looked forward to coming to, even on difficult days. It gave me not only better fitness and strength, but also confidence, support, and a sense of belonging. What makes this place special is the people. If you want to be surrounded by people who truly love what they do and do what they love, this is the place to be. Their energy, professionalism, and genuine care create an atmosphere where you feel welcome, supported, and motivated to do your best. Throughly recommend AKR Fitness to anyone who wants to do strength training and doesn't know where to start. The group personal training sessions are what makes the gym unique, and the coaches are exceptional. They guide and encourage you every step of the way and there is a great sense of community. It is an amazing place!

I couldn’t recommend AKR Fitness more. Their focus on both fitness and overall well-being is second to none. I’ve always struggled to stay consistent with gyms and strength training, but the setup, class structure, and expert coaching at AKR remove every barrier and set you up for success. The team take the time to get to know you and create a welcoming environment where every fitness level feels supported, encouraged, and included which makes all the difference. In group classes, you still get the feeling of personal coaching which is great in helping you gain confidence. Their app is full of useful information, makes booking simple, and lets you know what to expect in up and coming classes. Plus, the trainers are always willing to adjust things during a class to suit your individual needs. You won’t regret giving AKR a go

I love training at AKR Fitness, it is a warm, friendly and definitely a fun place to be. I always feel supported and encouraged with the trainer at every class or session. It is never dull as the variety of exercises offered change regularly and they can be adapted if I have any niggling aches or pains so I still have a good workout. The gym community here is very special, it is supportive of one another and with the many social activities on offer, there's always something to look forward to.
