I found that I am not alone when seeing the 1-star comment here which related to the legal team's approach. My concern stems from their insistence on moving directly to the legally binding contract stage without a clear preliminary agreement in place. This felt premature and disregarded my needs and the seller's initial understanding. Specifically, the lawyer repeatedly urged me to proceed to the contract phase – mentioning this pressure three times. (her words also showed her rudeness and impatience - this is the third time that I have asked you for this) but we didn't agree on anything, actually I and the seller preliminary agreed with some terms, but a lawyer jumped in and said this was not common practice for under offer. I think as long as this is legitimate and we both agree for some reasons, why do we have to border the norms, she just doesn't want to reconfirm our understanding (yes, she replied normally within 5 minutes) then push me to contract stage. This pushy attitude made me uncomfy, as it seemed to prioritise their fees over facilitating a mutually beneficial agreement. Their stance, that our preliminary understanding was not 'normal practice,' felt dismissive. While I found the estate agent team to be acceptable, despite some errors, the legal team's lack of professionalism and apparent self-interest has led me to conclude that I cannot recommend their legal services. I can imagine they don't really care about the customer, like thinking if this isn't the buyer, someone else will come along.
As a first time buyer, everyone involved with helping me purchase my first home was superb! I had excellent support and advice from Nikki on how to make sure I get the best mortgage before Chris and the team got to work on ensuring my offer was accepted, and I had the keys in hand as soon as possible. I couldn’t recommend Aberdein Considine highly enough for those looking to buy, it was so smooth and easier than I could have possibly dreamed it would be to get my ideal flat.
From start to finish Aberdein Considine provided a fantastic service. Responsive, diligent and really showed that they cared. Our solicitor was Chris Comfort and he really did go above and beyond to ensure the sale of the property went smoothly and gave grade A advice and support throughout. Also, a special mention to Nikki Hempseed who ensured we got the best possible price. Would wholeheartedly recommend.
Aberdein Considine has been recommended to us for their long experience in handling real estate transactions. Our second home purchase has been dealt with smoothly and in a very professional manner despite being in an overseas country and during the prevailing pandemic time. Their office was very prompt in responding either by email or phone. We truly thank them and definitely recommend them for handling real estate business. Best Regards,
Really happy with the services. This was my first time purchasing a house and Aberdein Considine (Mortgage and conveyancing) was very helpful throughout the process and gave me all of the information needed at various stages. I had a free Mortgage advise appointment with Paul Gregory (Mortgage adviser) who gave me all of the information needed regarding the local market and available mortgages considering my affordability. After my mortgage has been confirmed, Aberdein Considine conveyancing team helped me to buy the property.
