We had a slightly more complicated situation to get a mortgage because I am self employed and had a only been back in the country for 2 years. Many people told me that I wouldnt be able to get a mortgage. I called Clarity and Alan took care of me from day 1. My wife and I were seeking an equity release lifetime mortgage but learned from about eight potential lenders that our old converted barn was not acceptable as security because of its so-called 'single-skin' construction, despite being of solid oak, and having survived about 150 years unscathed before being completely rebuilt on modern foundations and infrastructure by a reputable old-established specialist builder in the 1980s to convert into a lovely home. After all the failures, by chance we were recommended to Alan Frendo of Clarity Mortgage Solutions with a reputation for getting the impossible done. He set to work, asking us to provide much more detail than we had previously been asked for, and eventually persuaded two major lenders to at least consider our home. The first one sent their own surveyor, who loved the property, and at last here we are with the desired loan at a good rate. Well done Alan!
Alan was great! We needed to remortgage and he found us a fantastic rate very quickly! Having used free services in the past it was amazing the difference it made to pay for a professioanl broker to take on the work. Our re-mortgage far quicker than previous times and was far less stressful! Definitely will be using them again once our current fix has ended.
