On the day of the viewing, the agent's staff arrived late. When I rang to enquire about the start of the tenancy being able to start in June, the staff told me that they would ask the landlord and let me know. I asked again to make sure if I should wait for their enquiry without filling in the application form now or if I should fill in the application form first and they gave me the answer that I should wait. After a week of waiting I politely asked if they had heard back from the landlord and they only briefly replied that it was because I had not filled in the application that the property was let to someone else. The agency's casual dishonesty was incredibly unreliable and thankfully I did not rent from them.

My partner and I rented with Remax from 2021-2023 and have had an awful experience. We had continuous issues from the start regarding various things in the property that Remax either failed to act on or complained about. They contacted myself to say I was not in for an inspection on the wrong date which caused me a great deal of stress as they blamed me for the mix up and hung up on me after realising it was their mistake. They tried to increase our rent by 50% when the Scottish government lifted the rent cap from 3% to 12%, fought with us regarding the legislation and only backed down when we referred our case Scottish Rent Adjudication team who capped our rent increase at 12%. My fear is that someone who is more vulnerable will be taken advantage of. Having moved from Remax, I have experienced a far better customer service.

Remax Dundee provide an excellent professional service. Ronnie helped me to market my property on all the major portals and it didn't take too long to get viewings. He organised all the viewings and was particularly helpful as I do not live in the Dundee area. He provided great advice with regards preparing my property for sale and helped me liase with the lawyers. Very pleased with the standard of service and would recommend Remax to anyone selling a property in Dundee.
