asked Lorn Macneal to assist with alterations to my New Town home to form a good sized en-suite bathroom and other improvement work. From inception to completion Euan Crawford was a pleasure to work with in organising the builder, other consultants and the council permissions. Moreover, his lateral thought, flair, and wit, in letter writing on my behalf went truly 'above and beyond’ in assisting with another matter. I am delighted to remain friends with him despite the work being complete. Lorn Macneal Architects are the architect at the end of the road for so many in the new town, and with good reason. The historically listed Rose Cottage came on the market being perfect fit to relocate our office into.<br>We were aware planning would be awkward but Lorn and his team steered us effortlessly through that process.<br><br>Euan as project architect was brilliant both in the total refurbishment of the cottage into an open plan office space and in creating a sensitively designed two storey rear extension.<br><br>We could not be happier in our choice of architect and the wonderful office they created.<br><br>Thank you team LMA and to Platinum Building Services for their attentive service.

In buying our single storey home in Barnton we hoped the huge attic space could create additional accommodation for our young family to grow into.<br><br>After a false start we turned to LMA who immediately recognised the potential in forming an attractive stairwell leading up to two attic rooms.<br><br>Euan was project architect led us patiently through all stages towards creating, within budget, our family home that has not only given us space that was much needed, but has also totally transformed the way we live our lives in our home. Having used Lorn Macneal Architects very successfully during the refurbishment of our Georgian Townhouse 12 years ago we were confident in using him and his team again to manage the restoration of our new home in Inverleith, Edinburgh.<br><br>This large property required a total overhaul and the dedication and pride which LMA's project architect Stephen and Red Build have shown in the job is impressive. Throughout, they have come up with interesting and creative ideas, been unfailing and meticulous in their attention to detail and Stephen has, without exception, responded to our queries clearly and patiently. During our many Site visits, their professionalism, enthusiasm and charm have inspired confidence and it is exciting to see such a beautiful home emerge. The quality of work is top class and I cannot recommend them enough.

I asked impossible of Lorn - and he delivered!<br>My first floor new town flat was somewhat cramped yet had high ceilings. I was considering moving as I needed an extra bedroom but first consulted Lorn who I have known for many years and always been very impressed by his work.<br>Lorn and his team ingeniously created an additional mezzanine bedroom, shower room and storeroom but above all an amazing two storey entrance hall and stairwell. What a transformation!<br>I am absolutely thrilled with their creativity, effort and attention to detail and the contractors they introduced. I couldn't have asked for more!

Just completed my third project with Lorn Macneal. This time a full kitchen renovation and some other improvements. Very happy with the completed work and recommend them, especially for works in period properties. .
