Absolutely brilliant building company. So glad we went with them! The whole process was smooth with Tom lining up all the trades as and when needed. Communication was strong. The team are nice guys and very hardworking (even worked all the bank holidays). The attention to detail and care for our project was so high - they resolved little things that we would never have even noticed. Our three-month project was finished on schedule and on budget. Will post photos once the decorator has finished.

This is the first time that I have used Cramond Renovations. I cannot fault the work that they did renovating our carport.<br>Tom always kept me updated with progress and each stage of the job. Tom and his team are in a league of their own for management, organisation and workmanship. Each of the team is highly skilled and knowledgeable. What was really appreciated was that everyone was kind and helpful with nothing being too much trouble. Tom and his team were professional from the word go. Particularly liked the regular updates - messages and photos - by WhatsApp after each stage was completed (we live overseas for the most part of the year so this was really helpful).<br><br>The VELFAC windows are super - look good, are solid, completely draft free! This summer we had Tom, Jackson, Dave and Syd (and Co.) working on a major extension (40sqm) and renovation to the existing house. The extension included a new living room and dining room. The renovations to the existing house included a new utility room, WC and kitchen.<br>We contacted Tom (from a recommendation from a friend) early 2024 and he provided a detailed quote. The quote was not the cheapest of the quotes we received from other builders but he inspired confidence in us by explaining the costs in detail and where costs could be lowered if necessary. We decided to engage Tom and he started work in Apr 2025.<br>From the outset, Tom and his guys were very understanding of our requirements (having 2 small children) and would work around us to the point of us having to move out of the house when the renovations to the main house started to take place.<br>Tom would keep us up to date on the works while we were away from the house and would let me know what was being done the next week. The work is now complete and our family could not be happier with the new space.<br><br>Why would I recommend Tom and his guys?<br><br>1. Problem solver - Tom is a problem solver and instead of downing tools at a problem he and the lads would come up with a solution. For instance, our architect did not include any drainage schematics for the new extension and this was also not spotted by the Building Standards. Tom came up with solutions and a cost (as this was not in the original plans which Tom had based his original quote on). Tom also took on some of the problems created by the kitchen supplier to get the problems fixed as soon as possible.<br><br>2. Polite - I had compliments from the neighbours on how courteous everyone who worked on site were. We are situated in a cul-de-sac so sometimes vans had to be moved for the neighbours. The guys were always quick in moving vans and polite to everyone.<br><br>3. Peace of mind - this cannot be overstated enough. At all points in the build I had trust in Tom doing what was required to a high standard. As mentioned, if there were any issues I had faith that Tom would resolve the problem.<br><br>4. High quality - the quality of the work from Tom and his team was outstanding. Everything is done to a high standard and no corners are cut. I have never met a builder who is a perfectionist before but now I have. Tom would oversee the work at all times ensuring perfection at every level.<br><br>5. Cost - as mentioned before the quote was not the cheapest from the builders we got quotes from. However, Tom stuck to his original quote and the increases in costs were down to us requesting additional or higher quality items.<br><br>Friends and neighbours have been hugely complimentary of the finished work. We are equally as delighted and would not hesitate to recommend Cramond Renovations!

Cramond Renovations came highly recommended, by a craftsman friend who has worked with a lot of Edinburgh builders. He said “if you want the crème de la crème, with amazing attention to detail, then it’s Tom Brady and his team”, and that turned out to be 100% true.<br><br>Our project was our first renovation, so we wanted to be helped through the process - we didn’t know what we didn’t know. It was also quite a big project: extension, kitchen, bathrooms, heat pump, solar panels etc. for a Victorian house. Pretty much top to toe. So a lot of complexity and potential for lurking issues.<br><br>Tom is so knowledgeable and helpful, and really easy to work with. Every time an unexpected problem arose (e.g. 100 year old drains that were not ever fitted properly), Tom explained our options and helped us through.<br><br>The results are amazing. The design has many parallel lines and sharp corners that all need to be perfect to look good, and they are all perfect. There also lots of period features that needed upgrade and repair, and Tom found excellent reproductions where we needed them.<br><br>Our neighbours are very complimentary about the Cramond team - they made sure to minimise disruption and keep everyone informed. One neighbour is already looking at hiring them.<br><br>Thoroughly recommended.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Tom and his team of Dave, Jackson and Syd on a significant renovation of our home. The project included the installation of new parquet flooring throughout, a new kitchen and bathroom, a full central heating upgrade, and the conversion of a small box room into a walk-in wardrobe, along with several other bespoke pieces of work.<br><br>As with any large renovation, there were a few challenges along the way, but Tom’s expertise and problem-solving approach were invaluable, especially with this being our first experience of a major renovation project. Every trade professional he brought in met the same high standard. From the beginning, we felt we were in very capable and safe hands.<br><br>The quality of workmanship and attention to detail across the board were exceptional. The team really took the time to understand what we wanted and made sure every detail was right. On top of that, they were a pleasure to have around. Always friendly, approachable, and happy to have a chat when we were home.<br><br>After the project was completed, we had a couple of minor issues with the new central heating system, but Tom and his plumber responded quickly to sort this out for us. It was reassuring to know that the support doesn’t stop the moment the job is done.<br><br>We’re absolutely delighted with our transformed home, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Cramond team to anyone considering a renovation. They’ll make it happen with care and quality.
