I have finished up the 30 day trial that Project offer and from my first session I knew I would definitely be sticking around! If you feel slightly cynical about the concept of small group PT sessions for any reason, let me put your mind at ease. The focus and attention you get in each session, whether there is 2 members or 6, is fantastic. And everyone really is lovely to talk to, work out with and learn from. I was welcomed by other members from my first session and all coaches do a great job at checking in to see how you are getting on. Stuart, accountability coach for most beginners, was great at giving an introduction to the facility, checking in weekly, and supporting you through your next steps as you progress. I’m so happy I took the leap and excited to see how the next few months go!

Just coming to the end of my first month at Project, and what can I say? It's been a fantastic experience so far; from the warm and understanding welcome, to the supportive group PT sessions with the coaches and the other people attending. Previously working out felt like a bit of chore to me, especially with modern life where my health and fitness always ended up last in the priority race. It's never felt like that for me at Project due to the the encouraging and feel-good attitude around the place - there's a good solid positive vibe when you walk in. Feels more like a community, not a factory gym where everyone is just a number. All that said, it goes beyond just a community and friendly chats; I've made serious progress in 3 weeks due to the sessions that the coaches have taken us through. No harm in some chat and a few laughs along the way! I'll be honest, I had a lot of apprehension and many critical thoughts before walking in the door right at the start. It's a big step to take, at least it was for me. I self-judged and had a huge dose of shame. That first step was tough but the steps that have followed have been far easier in no small part due to the atmosphere at Project. A great gym with great coaches and great attitudes. Really excited to see what the next few months brings for me 💪

I started with Project Strength and Fitness about 2 months ago, having not stepped into a gym in a very long time. Safe to say it is one of the best decisions i've made. From initial consultation with David (owner) you are made to feel welcome and comfortable. The coaches are brilliant, they teach you the movement of the excerise, adapting the programme as needed from session to session but equally push and encourage you especially to get that final rep out of an exercise. Weekly check-ins and accountability to see how your progressing and can ask any questions. All the members are lovely, everyone is there for their own reasons but they all encourage each other to get through a tough session from lifting a PB or just finishing a set when you start to get tired. Its not just a gym but a community. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking to start their fitness journey.

I have recently joined Project gym and already so glad I made the switch! After training at a larger gym for a few years I was lacking motivation in all areas of my training. Project has helped me regain my spark for fitness and encourages me to be consistent and show up for myself with my plan through the need to book in for each session. The classes and small group PT sessions on offer are the best I have attended at any gym. The workouts are structured and you can really feel the progression each week. The coaches are fantastic and offer continued support in and out of the gym, it's great having someone to guide you through the process. Project offers an amazing community that can't be found at any other gym, there's always a friendly face to chat to and cheer you on 🫶🏼

I recently tried the 30-day trial at this small local gym, and I honestly loved every minute of it! As someone who’s never touched a dumbbell or a kettlebell before (what is a kettlebell anyway?!), I was a bit nervous, but the atmosphere here is so welcoming and not intimidating at all. The trainers are super patient, fun, and easy-going, and they make every class feel achievable — even for total beginners. Everyone here is like-minded and supportive, so it really feels like a community rather than just a gym. The classes are small and there's lots to choose from. After just 30 days, I noticed a real improvement in my strength and confidence, and I also felt amazing mentally — more positive and energized! If you’re a beginner woman looking for a fun, encouraging, and friendly place to get started, this gym is an absolute gem!
