I recently moved into a property managed by Southside Property Management, and my experience as a new tenant has been fantastic. Renting a new place can sometimes be stressful, but the team—and especially Katy Fitton—has made the process incredibly smooth and reassuring. - Lightning-Fast Communication: From day one, Katy has been exceptionally quick to reply to my emails, often responding within a few hours (and even getting back to me on a Saturday morning!). - Proactive Maintenance: When we moved in, we noticed a few minor issues, such as a mismatched bedroom key and a loose cupboard hinge. Katy immediately ordered replacement parts and dispatched a contractor. As we found a couple of other minor things during our self-inspection, she seamlessly added them to the existing work orders so everything could be handled at once. - Fair and Reassuring: Reporting pre-existing damage is always a bit nerve-wracking, but Katy was incredibly prompt in putting my mind at ease, confirming in writing that we would not face any deposit deductions for the wear and tear we found upon arrival. - Accommodating: They are very reasonable landlords to deal with. When I asked for permission to upgrade the flat to a smart meter, it was approved the very same morning with zero friction. They were also very understanding when I had a brief, 24-hour banking delay with a rent transfer. Overall, it is highly refreshing to rent through an agency that genuinely listens, acts quickly, and treats its tenants with fairness, transparency, and respect. Recently successfully moved out of a flat managed by Southside! Our experience renting with Southside has been excellent from viewing, to signing the agreements and moving in, and until we moved out. Communication regarding any assistance and adjustments we need as tenants were smooth and prompt. Our property manager Rob McDonald was especially helpful, replying to emails timely and kindly. From the initial viewing, document submission process, and signing the lease, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. The entire process was smooth and stress-free, which was especially appreciated while relocating to a new city. Francesca Kane has been incredibly responsive, helpful, and prompt with all her replies. Whenever we had any questions or concerns, she was always quick to assist and provide support. We also had an issue with the fridge after moving in, and both Francesca and the landlord were extremely helpful and proactive in arranging a replacement quickly. It was reassuring to see how supportive and understanding they both were. The landlord has also been lovely throughout the process, which has made settling into the property even more comfortable. My property manager, Michael has been absolutely brilliant throughout my move. He responded incredibly quickly and his clear directions meant I found key things in the flat right away. He also arranged a rapid maintenance response, which was a huge help at such a busy time. The welcome package provided by Southside was genuinely thoughtful; full of home essentials that made settling in to the new place so much easier. After unpacking all the boxes, I celebrated with a lovely glass of prosecco from the package, which was such a kind touch. It was also very easy to pick up the keys from their office, and all the paperwork was handled efficiently and smoothly. Overall, Michael has made the whole process seamless, supportive, and stress‑free. Couldn’t recommend him more highly! :)
