We have just had flooring fitted from McDonald Flooring. First class service. The girls in the showroom were excellent. They talked us through the differing types of flooring and we decided on Amtico. They gave us some samples of colours to take home of the flooring and stripping which was a great help. Tommy the owner visited us to discuss what we decided on having fitted and to take the measurements. Tommy was very professional and very friendly and helped us in our decision. We received our quote the next day and we were very happy with the price. We booked our slot for fitting and paid our deposit. Three fitters arrived to fit the flooring to the 4 rooms which was completed within 3 days. They were great at their jobs, friendly and their attention to detail was second to none. The flooring has completely changed the look of our house and we are delighted. We can’t highly recommend them enough. Outstanding work. Thank you!!

I would highly recommend McDonald Flooring. The staff were fantastic. Sandra communicated with me throughout the whole process while we were waiting for our keys to our new home, she pre-arrranged all my floors being measured prior to me getting into the house which made the arrangements of fitting stress free and allowed the fitting to be carried out straight away. I had a fantastic experience with McDonald Flooring in Glasgow from start to finish. They were incredibly helpful when I was choosing my flooring, and even when I had a major wobble after purchasing, they were so patient and supportive. They spoke to the suppliers about a possible exchange, but in the end I stuck with my original choice — and I absolutely love it now. The fitters were brilliant too. Very professional, hard‑working, and they really pushed through in the last couple of days to make sure everything was completed on time. I had my whole downstairs fitted, so there was a lot of moving furniture from room to room, but they handled it all without a single complaint. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They were also very accommodating when I didn’t like the original trim on my steps. They replaced it for me without any issues at all, which I really appreciated. Overall, McDonald Flooring were friendly, helpful, and went the extra mile to make sure I was happy. I’m delighted with the final result and would definitely recommend them.

Thoroughly impressive service and products - delighted with our new flooring throughout The service from McDonald Flooring from sales through to fitting and invoicing was fantastic - we’re so happy we chose them for our new flooring. For downstairs we opted for Amtico Form Foreshore Oak in herringbone with a straight border and basalt stripping (running all the way from the front hall, through the living room, kitchen, back hall, downstairs toilet and storage cupboard). For the stairs and first floor we went with Cormar Silken Serenity in Blyth Barley colour. We recently bought a house where the floors hadn’t been very well cared for, so we decided to replace them throughout - LVT downstairs and carpet on the stairs and first floor. We got quotes from several providers but McDonald Flooring stood head and shoulders above the rest when it came to the purchasing and design experience. They use their own in-house fitters (so no third parties to pass the buck to, unlike many large high street retailers). Kim, at the showroom, was wonderful - no pressure, very knowledgable and really patient. She showed us lots of options (including LVT colour and stripping combinations), spoke about the pros and cons and gave us some samples away. She was able to recommend a carpet type that would work for both our bedroom and home office / gaming spaces (plush enough to feel nice underfoot, but not so deep as to make out desk chairs sink). We were really grateful for how honest she was, telling us that for our home we really didn’t need to opt for the most expensive LVT options as all the ones we discussed would give us the durability and ease of cleaning that we needed. There was no upsell, which was refreshing. Ultimately we did opt for a more premium product (Amtico Form) but primarily because we loved the texture, colour and pattern. Tommy came round within a few days to measure the floors and discuss layouts with us. He was, again, friendly and professional. The team were very communicative and the fitters turned up promptly each day. Alan and Ian did a fantastic job and were a pleasure to have on site working on our floors. They were very professional, diligent and true craftsmen. They explained the process clearly, worked quickly (for such a large job) and neatly. We were consulted at every step and given options for layout. They laid new plywood downstairs (which some of the other companies who quoted were planning to skip). The cutting in and fitting at the edges and corners was immaculate (particularly around the double doorframes downstairs and the balustrade). The guys cleaned up well afterwards every day and were very considerate of the space. After sales service was brilliant, too. We had one or two steps on the stairway where we felt the carpet was a touch loose, and they were back out at 830am the next morning to tighten it up for us with no fuss. We paid an upfront deposit to allow them to order the materials but pleasantly were given an invoice on completion allowing us a few days to check things over before paying the balance. We were left with care instructions for all of the flooring, and a care pack for cleaning the LVT. For the service we got, we felt the pricing was very fair. We appreciated the “all-in” per-sqm pricing (some other suppliers added on lots of additional costs after a bait and switch with too-good-to-true per-sqm pricing). McDonald Flooring were transparent and fair throughout. It was probably the biggest outlay for our fairly extensive house refurbishment and we’re glad to had it done properly. There were options in the showroom for any budget, but we are so glad we went with the flooring we chose in the end and expect it to stand up well over time. We even went back and picked up some Amtico floor mats for the front and back hall, to keep our flooring in perfect condition. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the future.
