I’ve been a member for over a year now, and I genuinely can’t recommend Zone One enough. The coaching is excellent, and what really stands out is how personalised it feels, despite it being a group training environment rather than 1-1 PT.

Throughout different stages of my life, including pregnancy, the coaches have adapted my training so I could continue exercising safely and confidently. I’ve always felt supported, with workouts tailored to what I could do on any given day, which has made a huge difference.

The community is another real strength. Everyone is welcoming, encouraging, and there’s a genuinely positive atmosphere that makes you want to come back. It’s a place where people of all abilities feel comfortable and supported.

If you’re looking for high quality coaching, a fantastic community, and a gym that genuinely cares about helping you achieve your goals, I’d highly recommend Zone One

I’ve been a member at Zone One for a couple of months now and can honestly say it has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and fitness. The community here is genuinely welcoming and friendly - everyone cheers each other on and supports each other. The coaching team are knowledgable and encouraging, and take a personalised approach to everything, from goal setting to adapting movements to suit your current ability, to knowing when they can push you to work a little bit harder. I am loving being part of this community and I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Ive been a member of this gym since it opened and i cannot recommend it enough to anyone who is looking for a safe, city centre place to work out no matter what your experience level is. The membership skews maybe 80% women/20% men and it genuinely feels like one giant happy family where positivity, inclusivity and self improvement are the order of the day. The members here are all lovely and you will struggle to find a set of more motivational and professional coaches. I don't know what i would do without this place. Highly Recommend!

Zone One is the best gym going in Glasgow. A great group of PTs and a really welcoming group of people getting fitter and being encouraging of one another. Can’t recommend it enough.

The service offered by Zone One is on another level from what’s offered by other gyms. The staff are exceptionally knowledgeable and actually care that you set goals and then help you to reach those. It’s a friendly, inclusive space to train with like minded people. It doesn’t matter if you’re a complete beginner or an expert the workouts are adaptable to all levels and so much fun training with like minded people. Highly recommend 😃

I am really disappointed by what has unfolded at this gym. This review is based on events that occurred in early May as relayed to me by my brother. He was reluctant to criticise them publicly, however I cannot sit back and let a narrative be painted that this is truly an “inclusive” gym.

My brother was a member for over a year, and was visibly down one day when attending an event organised by the gym. Following this, one of the co-owners asked to meet with him in what he believed to be a check in to see how he was doing. Instead, what actually transpired was a meeting where he was told in no uncertain terms that members are expected to make the effort to appear happy when in the gym or attending gym associated events, and if he could not do this then he ought to reconsider if he is still a good fit for the gym. He was blindsided by the whole conversation and left feeling like he no longer had a place in the community that he was a part of.

I am so disappointed by what’s unfolded here - he really loved this place and even wanted me to join on a short-term basis while I was staying in Glasgow for a few weeks. Words have meanings, and “inclusive” is not one that can apply here.

I joined Zone one around 6 months ago. I’ve never naturally gravitated toward strength training—traditional gyms always felt impersonal, and working out alone lacked the structure and engagement I was looking for. What sets this place apart is its refined, class-based approach. Each session is thoughtfully structured, creating a seamless experience that removes any uncertainty and allows you to focus entirely on the training.

There is a clear level of intention behind every workout. The programming feels intelligent and purposeful, with each exercise carefully selected to complement the overall session. The coaching team brings a high level of expertise, and with the smaller class sizes, they’re able to offer attentive, individualized guidance throughout.

What I particularly value is the level of personalization. The coaches take the time to understand your body and adapt movements accordingly—whether that’s accommodating an injury, managing muscle strain, or supporting something as specific as pregnancy. It’s a level of care that feels both professional and deeply considered.

The Bodyfit sessions are a highlight. They strike an excellent balance between challenge and enjoyment, and I consistently leave feeling stronger, more energized, and genuinely uplifted. The addition of goal setting and regular check-ins further elevates the experience, providing a sense of direction and accountability.

What truly distinguishes this gym, however, is the personal attention. At one point, after I’d missed a few sessions, one of the coaches reached out to check in on how I was doing. It was a small but meaningful gesture that reflected a genuine commitment to members beyond the gym floor.

Overall, this is a highly curated, supportive, and amazing fitness experience that has completely reshaped my perspective on strength training.

I’ve been a member at Zone One for a number of years, and more recently joined their small group PT and Strength sessions and have been loving it. Iona, Will, and the rest of the coaching team really take the time to understand your individual goals and what you want to achieve, and they genuinely care about helping you get there.

They strike the perfect balance of being supportive without ever being pushy, creating an environment where you feel encouraged rather than pressured. They also make a real effort to help you fit training around a busy lifestyle, which makes such a difference. For many, the gym is more than just a place to work out, it’s a community, and that really comes across in everything they do.

As someone who has always struggled to find motivation for the gym or exercise, this is the longest I’ve stayed consistent without quitting. I genuinely enjoy the classes, and nothing ever feels repetitive or boring. It’s made a huge difference to how I approach fitness, and I’m excited to see where the rest of the year takes me with Zone One.

Joined the gym early this year to overall get fitter and stronger and already have been seeing the results. The coaches go above and beyond and help everyone reach their individual goals.
