First Mortgage

I used this mortgage adviser service as a first-time buyer, and overall I had a positive experience. The adviser Scott Keenan took the time to understand my circumstances and recommended a mortgage product that was well suited to my financial position and home-buying goals. They also successfully secured a mortgage offer, and the entire process was completed within the timeframe they initially committed to. However, there were a couple of areas where the service could be improved. The adviser was not aware that some lenders do not accept gifted deposits from outside the UK. Unfortunately, this led to my initial mortgage application being rejected, causing delays and additional stress during the process. Communication could also have been better, as there were periods where I received very few updates and was left unsure about the status of my application. Despite these issues, the team (Scott Keenan & Mcdonald Donald) ultimately delivered the desired outcome and helped me secure my mortgage on time. With better lender knowledge and more proactive communication, the service would have been excellent.

Kirsty and Donald made getting a new mortgage so easy. I was so worried about this process and from beginning to end it was so simple and Kirsty really put me at ease at my first appointment.
