Amazing start to finish! Arranged appointment within a few days of first contact. My husband and I were both working from home in meetings and the team were very professional and got to work and left us to ours. It was also my son's birthday that day and we were expecting guests so they managed to get in and get the job done quickly before guests arrived. They found 7 pigeon nests under our panels 😳 they've done a beautiful job cleaning it all and the pigeons have gotten the message that they've no longer welcome!

I had Solar Edge Protection Ltd from Glasgow come out to repair my Solar Panels. They arrived on time and Tommy explained what they were going to do. The panels were stripped and re-fitted with new cabling where the squirrels had chewed through. They fitted custom cut squirrel protection strips all around the panels. They washed the panels and cleaned the gutter. They have done an amazing job, even replacing 10 roof tiles, which they were not required to do. They left my property clean and tidy and I am so pleased with the result. Would not hesitate recommending this company.

Having had solar panels fitted to my roof in mid 2024, by late 2025 they had become home for a fair number of pigeons. This was exasperated with living near to woodland on the outskirts of town. The early morning racket of them clambering about on the roof, cooing their little heads off became akin to a form of Chinese water torture. And do not get me started about the mess on the ground around my house. This is where Solar Panel Edge Protection Ltd became the super heroes in this story. Contact was made and they arrived at the agreed time and date, and set to work. Panels cleaned, roof cleared, gutters emptied and edge protection added in a very professional way. The staff were all very friendly and a great bunch of people to deal with. They left leaving no mess. We are now 5 days post D-day and the pigeons have finally moved on after unsuccessfully trying to get past the new protection. Peace has been restored and I no longer have to clean their mess up around my home on a daily basis. Would I recommend this company, definitely. I would highly recommend Solar Panel Edge Protection Ltd to anyone with solar panels. This year we had a problem with pigeons nesting under our panels and based on a recommendation from a work colleague, I approached Solar Panel Edge Protection Ltd for a quote. The quote was comprehensive and was very reasonable. I also had them quote to install a new solar meter as the digital display had failed on my previous meter. This again was a reasonable price and installed professionally. The Edge protection installation team arrived on the arranged date and began by carrying out an inverter check before lifting the panels, clearing away any nesting materials and debris from under the solar panels and clearing the gutters directly under the panels. I was amazed by the volume of debris that had built up under the panels and all of this was taken away by them for disposal. Following the clean-up, they fitted the solar edge protection around the panels which consists of strips of reinforced steel cut to size and installed around the panels. In comparison to solar mesh, spikes or plastic edge protection these metal strips are a lot more robust, look good and come with a 10 year guarantee. Having watched how determined the pigeons were to get back under the panels going as far as pecking at the metal strips with their beaks, I know that this product was definitely the correct choice. Following the installation, the panels were treated to a solar wash. They also carried out a roof report and advised me that my ridge tiles required repointing. The installation team of three carried out the job in an efficient and professional manner and I have no hesitation in recommending their services to anyone with an existing bird nesting problem or who wants to ensure they don't get one.
