We moved home just over a year ago. Unfortunately within a few weeks we had noted severe water ingress at multiple sites. We were quickly told my multiple roofers that the roof needed replaced and there were some significant structural issues that needed addressed too.<br><br>We initially instructed an engineer who was difficult to get a hold of, his drawings were hard for the roofers to work with and the overall experience was poor.<br><br>Full of stress I went online and found Chris at Stark Engineers and based on the glowing reviews decided to get in touch. To say Chris is approachable is an understatement. He has always been very easy to get in touch with, he turns work around extremely quickly and is full of helpful advice.<br><br>He managed to give us something the roofers were confident to work with and we have finally had our roof completed which brings great peace of mind. Chris is such an outstanding individual he also advised we should consider approaching the original home report surveyor given the poor state of the roof and even advised on the process to do so, suggesting a strongly worded letter from himself to support this. This is something we would not have even considered and Chris went above and beyond to actually give us advice with regards to our situation.<br><br>Cannot recommend him and his company enough. He is a consummate professional, friendly and goes above and beyond!

Chris was hugely knowledgable, spoke plainly and honestly and helped me understand the issue and the solution calmly and patiently. I'm not sure it gets any better than that.

Whilst doing the kitchen on our property a number of years ago, we removed a section of wall between the kitchen/dining room to open up the space by removing the door - this was a stud wall and no planning consent was required at that time.<br>The house was put up for sale recently as we were moving on.<br>A few days before we were due to exchange on our new home, we were notified there was a requirement to provide documentation/proof this wall was non load bearing, to say this was stressful would be an understatement, we were in a blind panic at such a late stage of proceedings - we thought the move was off.<br><br>We contacted Chris.<br>He immediately visited the property, produced a report and had this done and dusted the same day. This report was presented to the lawyers and all was concluded the next day - fantastic service, very knowledgable guy and couldn’t have asked for a better outcome - we have no hesitation in recommending Chris!

Outstanding service from STARK!<br><br>Im a normal guy, no knowledge of building regs or how to read structural drawings etc. I had a new extension built on the back of the house and there was an issue with my roof, builder was taking no responsibility for it, Architect was taking no responsibility for it.<br><br>So here i am, dodgy roof, no idea what to do or who to believe, step in STARK, revied the drawings, watched the video clips, pointed out the issues straight away, quick as you like, no hassle, absolutely brilliant.<br><br>If your reading this and looking for a structural engineering company to do your drawings, plan your building, look no further, these are the people you want.
