I first met Chris when my wife and I decided to put an extension on our Edinburgh home in Merchiston. He's been the primary designer and contact for the project which has had to satisfy a complex collection of Edinburgh Council restrictions for working within a conservation area, exacerbated by the fact we live in an unusually split traditional villa. From site visits, face to face meetings and email and phone conversations, he's been able to ascertain and exceed our aspirations and came up with an imaginative and wonderfully simple solution to the restrictions and orientation of the house and at the same time maximise the potential enjoyment of our new contemporary styled garden room extension. His well prepared design passed through Planning with minimal comment. Chris has always been punctual, cheerful, friendly and professional. I'm a client who needs to be involved with the design and also one who needs to understands the underlying reasons behind the choices that had to be made. Chris has always been happy to accommodate my ideas for details and specifications, educate me where necessary and incorporated many of those ideas that stood up to expert scrutiny. He has allowed me to feel a true partner in the design process and the extension had augmented, considerably, the amenity and enjoyment of our home.

Chris has a great eye for design, understood what we wanted and was able to make some innovative suggestions and draw up the necessary plans for the remodel of our downstairs space with extension. We are very grateful to have had his expertise and advice throughout the renovation process and would highly recommend him.
