I had a reservation in place for over 12 months through Airbnb for a stay that was recently taken over by Juniper Property. Just 24 hours before check-in, I received a phone call informing me that my original booking would be cancelled and that I would need to pay again, directly to them, in order to secure the stay. This put me in an extremely difficult position. The booking was for £2,200, which is a significant amount to suddenly repay in full at such short notice, especially while still waiting for a refund from Airbnb. The timing alone made the situation unnecessarily stressful and disruptive. To make matters worse, although I received an email from Julie stating that a discount would be offered due to the inconvenience, this was later denied over the phone. There was no real apology or sense of accountability from their side, which only added to the frustration. It felt like I had no choice but to comply, and that the situation was being taken advantage of. While the property itself was nice, the handling of this situation was highly unprofessional. Based on this experience, I would not choose to book with Juniper Property again.
