Guiding Architects Barcelona

My wife and I had an exceptional private tour with this organization. Our guide coordinated with us by email beforehand to design a customized, detailed itinerary. Unlike most tours, he contextualized historical developments in architecture, land use policy, and urban planning within recent and ongoing transformations — just as we had hoped. This perspective made our visit to the renowned Superblocks particularly insightful as he pulled out large maps to describe the unfolding of the plan. He also welcomed in-depth questions on community participation, democratic oversight, and the political complexities that continue to shape Barcelona’s urban landscape. We had a fantastic time, learned a ton, and left wanting more. I’ll definitely seek out other Guiding Architects tours in future destinations. A truly worthwhile experience.

The contemporary architecture tour of Barcelona// Lorenzo is an outstanding architect guide. As a repeat visitor to Barcelona, this tour offered me a completely new perspective on the city’s urban planning and ongoing development. He provided fascinating insights into contemporary architecture and how it shapes daily life. We ended the tour at Torre Glòries, bringing everything full circle with stunning city views. The exhibitions there are also very engaging. Highly recommended for architecture enthusiasts—and even families, as the experience can be adapted with fun activities in the area!

Just got back from Barcelona, and the Architecture Tour definitely was the highlight of our trip! We absolutely enjoyed our time with Pedro. From the moment we started, he made everyone feel so warm and cozy, like we were all old friends. Plus, we could feel his passion for Barcelona as he shared fascinating insights into the city's planning and development. It felt like we were discovering hidden stories behind every corner! After the tour, we found ourselves looking at the city differently. We joked about how we would now be on the lookout for those unique 45-degree cut corners, and it made our exploration of Barcelona that much richer.

Lorenzo from “Guiding Architects” is one in a million. The depth of his knowledge of Barcelona Architecture is amazing. My husband, Rocky, owner of Rockefeller Kempel architects, was continually impressed the entire day. He’s also just a great guy (said me, Rocky’s wife ☺️).
