DRY-EXPERT

We had multiple problems with water / damp in our home. We live in a four story townhouse and there was water coming through from the top of a central pillar (that goes through all floors) on the bottom floor but puzzlingly not on the upper floors. In addition damp patches appeared on the bottom of the pillar and on the bottom of all the pillars on the bottom floor as well as some external walls. From the word go Christian from Dry Expert was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable and honest about the process of investigating the issues (ie could be time consuming). He used equipment to check the moisture levels and gave us initial thoughts as to what may be the causes of the issues. It was established that :- - we had old and poorly fitted guttering on the roof terrace. - That there was a central pipe running vertically through the pillar from top to bottom and found a crack in this pipe on the bottom floor at the top of the pillar. - Damp / water coming through from the ground on the bottom floor pillars and some walls. - Between room and terrace, recently fitted guttering (by another builder) - not fit for purpose! We were shocked initially at the quote price but thats because we've never had anything done like this before and the guarantees provided, our better understanding of the issues (because of how Christian explained them to us) and therefore extent of repairs and damp-poofing needed, helped us appreciate the complex and time consuming nature of this type of work, which had to be done, and of course comes with a cost. At every stage Christian was very friendly, professional, transparent, open and honest with what he had identified and gave us options for solutions, some being very innovative. He constantly contacted us during the recent bad weather to check how everything was and since the work has been completed, we are very relieved and grateful to say that for the first time in two years we are not worrying about damp and leaks every time it rains!. Thats all thanks to Dry Expert. His team of staff were also fantastic, polite, very hard-working and professional. They also tidied after finishing their work and were very respectful of our property. In summary Dry Expert (Christian and his team) were absolutely fantastic and we would thoroughly recommend them and their work.

Dry-Expert helped to fix a damp issue in our ground floor bedroom. Over the past two years we have used several craftsmen from a variety of local companies, and to be honest, this is the only one I can recommend. Even though the associated carpenter didn't honor his part of the agreement (!), which lead to a significant delay of the project, Christian Gross secured that the project was finished and delivered at the agreed quality. He was very reasonable when adjusting the budget for developments along the way. They deserve my best recommendations!
