We were very satisfied with the service we received at all times. They were punctual and committed to the customer. Miguel Pérez's professionalism and customer service were outstanding. He is a highly experienced, reliable, and dedicated professional. 100% recommended.
Due to a problem with what appeared to be rising damp, a technician from Urbasec visited us. Mauricio demonstrated professionalism and honesty from the start, offered a very good price, and declined to carry out the repair, considering the issue to be one of plumbing and construction work, not recurring dampness. We are very grateful to Urbasec and will keep them in mind when the diagnosis is indeed dampness. Thank you.
We hired them for a rising damp treatment and the results have been spectacular. They not only completely eliminated the dampness, but they also left the walls looking brand new, perfectly restored and painted. It's clear they offer a comprehensive service, so you don't have to call anyone else. They were very professional and completed the work on time and as promised.
I was seen by a professional who provided a precise diagnosis of the causes of the dampness in a storage room. Three specialist companies had already visited the premises. None of them analyzed the causes with the same thoroughness as Mr. Manuel Gómez Ayllón, a technician from URBASEC Humedades. We awarded this company the contract to solve our serious problem.
REVIEW 1/2 In the end, we had to hire a lawyer to represent us before theirs. And even then, it took a while to get them to finish. I can't doubt the quality of their damp-proofing work, because I hope it doesn't happen again in the next 30 years, which is the warranty period they offer (12 or 30 years depending on whether it's the floor or wall, or technically, rising damp or leaks). However, they demonstrated a complete lack of time management and responsibility for the additional work they offer, as well as a disconnect between what they quoted and what's in the contract. Even the waterproofing materials weren't the same. They're the specialists in the materials; I'm not going to pretend I know more than they do. But even that raises concerns when there are problems. Important point: You have to demand that the quote be referenced in the issued and accepted contract. We were presented with two offers: one for waterproofing over the existing pavement, and another for removing the pavement, waterproofing it, and then re-paving it (materials at our expense). Naturally, to avoid future warranty issues, we opted for the second option. It was more expensive, but more reliable because the waterproofing layer was protected from scratches and damage. And they were responsible for the entire job. The contract stated the cost of the accepted offer and contained very standard text with numerous safeguard clauses in their favor, but made no reference to the accepted offer. Not even the specifics of the offer were detailed. We chose Urbasec Humedades because: 1. They had quite a few good reviews, except for one (interestingly, it seems to have been practically the same experience we had). 2. They promised that if we accepted and paid the initial fee "right away" (they gave us a reason why they wouldn't make us wait, even though they had a huge queue of clients; but they asked us not to reveal it in a future review. So I'm not including it), they would finish it in a couple of weeks. We told them from the beginning that we would be away from mid-June until September. "There's plenty of time, everything will be ready in a couple of weeks." This was in mid-May. In other words, they inspired confidence, and the urgency with the deadlines made us lower our guard. Good references. So, we got to it. First payment made that same day, and we scheduled the next week. The work started a day late because of the May bank holiday weekend; they hadn't noticed, they told us. It wasn't a big deal. The problem was that, once the waterproofing was finished, they started working on random days, for one or two hours in the afternoons. Sometimes they didn't even show up. And time flies. Lord! If you can't keep your word, don't make a promise. The work, which was supposed to be finished in a week, dragged on for over a month, and we had to cancel the trip a couple of times until further delays were impossible. We kept them informed, hoping they would finish. But that's not all. It's been six months. Let's move on to part two.
