I am the owner of a professional tax, legal, and financial consulting firm. In recent weeks, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with Mari Carmen Jurado, culminating today with the signing of the purchase agreement between our respective clients. I can only express my gratitude and highlight her exceptional professionalism and high level of expertise. I was promised an apartment to rent for a month for professional reasons and the whole agreement was cancelled less than 48 hours before my arrival. I started the whole process more than 4 weeks in advance and was told in writing by Ms. A., the Agent (I will keep the names anonymous for ethical reasons), that it was available and reserved for me. During those weeks I provided all the documents requested, except for one which refers to my employer. I wasn't employed at the time and I was told it wasn't mandatory. Less than 48 hours before my arrival I received a call from Ms V., who I assume must be Ms A.'s supervisor, saying it wouldn't be possible to rent the property because of a technicality, i.e. the missing employer document. I said I was available to pay an extra deposit in order to guarantee the rental but to no avail. I realized that a few days later the property had disappeared from their website which meant it was rented to someone else. To those who are reading this, you reach your own conclusions. I had to book something last minute and had to pay almost double what I had expected. This was my personal experience, I sincerely hope you may have a better one.
