I was once imprisoned by an evil wizard in the deepest recesses of a dark cave for three days. I had blocked that experience from memory, but when I got my room at Waterfront Cabins it all came rushing. back. Here are some things I would have very much liked to know before booking at Waterfront Cabins. Hopefully, they'll make your stay better than mine. (1) The hotel has no toilet in reception. When we arrived from the airport we really needed to pee, but the receptionist said the hotel has no bathroom for guests (other than the one in your room). "But I think there's one down there near the bus stop," she said. Since we were too early to check in, we had arrived just to drop a bag. But no bathroom. So I walked 150 meters to the bus stop but there was no WC. So I peed in the bushes near the water. It was a different story for my girlfriend, however. She just had to hold it in until we could get back to the city. Not fun. (2) In the reception they advertise social events for guests, namely "hot dogs and juice." First of all, what kind of hotel guests want to have social events with other guests? Second, on what planet do hot dogs and juice go together? Not even Americans will eat that combination. (3) They have Flintstones beds--two single beds that they push together when you order a double bed. But they won't stay together. You fall through the middle of them. Don't even try to come here with your girlfriend or wife. Or, if you do, don't entertain any romantic thoughts whatsoever. (Note: I have a friend who owns a hotel, and he says that he's never ceased to be amazed by where people will have sex, which is why all the furniture has to be built to withstand a bomb attack by the Luftwaffe. So how long will this hotel last? Read on.) In a just world, this hotel would not be allowed to sell two beds pushed together as a full-sized bed. But sometimes the world is not just. (4) Everything in the rooms is the cheapest Ikea product. It's like living in Plastic Land, and it gives the rooms the atmosphere of a prison cell. Also, there's a good chance your room (like ours) will get zero sunlight all day (evil wizard flashback). I mean zero. Nada. It's depressing. So make sure you ask: Will my room get any sunlight. (5) When you arrive there is some instant coffee in your room. But they don't replenish it every day like a real hotel. You have to go get it yourself. I honestly wonder who would stay at this hotel. I could see some clever businessmen building this as a place to house refugees for longer-term periods, while they're on state funding awaiting their permanent status, or within the first couple years of being granted asylum. Because it's got all the essentials and, if there were a grocery store nearby, which one day there surely will be, you could really settle in. Also, the place does have its positives: (1) It's cheaper than Göteborg city hotels. (2) It's one bus stop from the city center. But neither of those things is enough to compensate for the weirdness of it all, so I think, as a 60-year-old person who gets crankier every year, I'll choose another kind of accommodation in the future.
When you first arrive, in the dark, you wonder if you have made a wrong turn. But as the sun rises you realise you have found a hidden gem. Such a nice and convenient place, price considering, with jubileums Parken next door
Quite new, so in excellent condition. Fully equipped small flat. Very friendly staff. If you got legs, you can reach downtown by feet, or bike.
The rooms themselves are quite nice and are well thought out for the most part. Although, the blue cabins have horrible WiFi and are not always well maintained. The maintenance staff are excellent but sometimes fixing issues takes way too long and the communication between departments is quite bad. In a relatively good area and close to central gothenburg from bus. For the price, the WiFi is garbage, the service is fine, it is nice apartments come fully furnished, the cleaning staff try their best when you move to blame an old stain or old grime on you so you best take pictures when you first move in.
Great view and nice place to stay for a few nights or a longer period. Basic accommodation but you have everything in it and it’s cover all needs. Kitchen with good appliance and everything you need to prep simple meals. It’s very clean and tidy, every 4 days have cleaning service. Room Have nice bathroom with washing/drying combo machine. And the view it’s great. Customer service is very good they can help with anything :)
