Avoid Länsförsäkringar Stockholm Bank – A Frustrating and Unreliable Experience Länsförsäkringar Stockholm has repeatedly shown itself to be an unreliable and frustrating banking institution. Many customers report excessive bureaucracy and unnecessary delays, even when all required documents are provided. Rather than facilitating transactions smoothly, the bank seems more focused on obstructing access to customers’ own money, leading to a highly frustrating experience. Customer service is another major disappointment. Numerous reviews highlight unhelpful and dismissive representatives who provide conflicting information, making it nearly impossible to get a straight answer. Instead of taking responsibility, the bank often deflects blame and offers vague excuses, leaving customers feeling unheard and unsupported. Additionally, their approach to currency exchange and transfers has raised concerns. Some customers claim that Länsförsäkringar Stockholm does not follow Sveriges Riksbank’s official exchange rates, instead relying on private moneylenders like DBN, which can result in unfavorable conversion rates. This lack of transparency creates distrust among those who expect fair and regulated financial services. Unlike traditional banks, Länsförsäkringar Stockholm primarily operates in insurance and real estate, with banking services seeming like an afterthought. Customers frequently express frustration over outdated processes and policies that do not align with modern banking expectations. For those seeking a reliable financial institution that values efficiency and transparency, it may be best to explore other banking options. Länsförsäkringar Stockholm’s poor service, inconsistent communication, and questionable policies make it a difficult bank to trust.

If you look for a Länsförsäkringar branch where employees are not willing to confirm the identity of an existing customer with your passport in their hands, you are in the right place. It sounds absurd and unfriendly but that's the way it is at Länsförsäkringar. You were warned. Look for another bank !

Literally worst bank I ever had. Pretty poor house insurance as well. Because of them I will lose access to my pension and will be in trouble with Skatteverket. Here is what happened: I was using the bank for three years (it was pretty inconvenient but unfortunately I decided not to bother with changing it) and they had no issues with how I use it. Month ago I came to the office to confirm that my account will remain open after I leave Sweden (Im moving abroad to work, Im not a Swedish citizen) - they told everything is fine. But then during a visit last week they suddenly decided that they don’t like my transactions and will close my account. Now Im in an extremely bad situation as my Bank ID will stop working and therefore Ill lose access to my Swedish pension fund and wont be able to fill tax declaration for Skatteverket, won’t be able to get (pretty significant) tax return next year. At leat they are willing to transfer my current funds elsewhere and don’t try to steal it… There also some general reason not to use it: - Very poor online banking capabilities. The bank is really lacking behind technically. For example - ability to add card to apple wallet only appeared about a year ago. - Short opening hours and no way to contact the bank outside of them. For example SEB or Swedbank have 24/7 over the phone customer service and ability to make appointments online. - No English language in the mobile app. - They are not interested in attracting new or retaining existing customers at all. For example they refused to open account for my EU citizen wife because she is unemployed, while other Swedish bank opened account for wife of my colleague who is a Russian citizen and also unemployed. Don’t even try to bother with them. As for the insurance. The only time something broke in my house - they told that they have to confirm with my BRF if I actually have to pay for the fix (despite me providing a confirmation of it from the official BRF website). And then they just ignored and didn’t answer to my emails. Probably something would have moved if I came to them about this matter in person - but at that point I was too busy and just gave up.

Great service. Staff is friendly and welcoming. They respect their customers and treat you well whenever you visit the branch. The only downside I perceive is their software systems. The staff themselves have trouble working with the systems at times and processes take time.
