Overall, everything was great and we were very happy with the service. However, the initial guidance could have been better, especially since we mentioned that this was our first time. We were asked about the amount of our belongings and were told that a certain vehicle would be sufficient. Based on that, we assumed the vehicle would be quite small, but it turned out to be much larger than expected. Clearer guidance at the beginning would have helped set better expectations.

Stay away. Dishonest company that will ruin furniture and not compensate adequately. Pretty sure they contract out the trucks also, the moving vs. loading teams were completely different and didn’t trust or get along with each other.

Mex did a great job with my move. They handled everything smoothly, followed the instructions on the boxes which made unpacking much easier, and nothing was broken or dirty. Not the cheapest option, but I'm very satisfied and would recommend!

2nd UPDATE: Company said they will send us money for the leg of the furniture they damaged. (Great, love doing extra work to order the part, disassemble the furniture, switch the part and reassemble ourselves; exactly what we needed to spice up our move; but whatever.) Funny part is, they still haven’t deposited the money like they promised, but they HAVE had the time to keep reaching out to us asking to take down this review 😂 UPDATE: Sent all pictures to the company as requested. Asked for a better address than info@mex.se but they insisted we use info@, which as I expected is taking forever to process. See their response below, several days later and no responsibility taken by the company. Rude movers didn’t make eye contact the entire time and managed to majorly damage a solid wood piece of furniture that we need for daily life (we have a baby). The item was clearly not protected in any way during the move. Now we have to file a claim with their insurance, which is exactly what we don’t have time for after a move. And is the insurance going to replace the piece of furniture and assemble it? Probably not. If I don’t get some sort of major compensation on top of the price of the piece itself I would consider this company incompetent and way below Stockholm standards.

The guys who helped me move from Göteborg to Stockholm and 2 times in Stockholm were always very nice. When I moved around in Stockholm, I always used their service. In 13 years living in Sweden I noticed how Sweden dislikes men, but when I looked around, men are the ones doing the heavy work… Funny that Sweden talks so much about gender equality when all my movers were hard working guys. I guess it is not a job for swedish girls to get dirty & take heavy things. Much easier to sit and complain.
