First impression was great so we decided to engage their services. Unfortunately, we later regretted it. Among the numerous issues: • Multiple errors and poor oversights. We were followed by someone very junior, not ready yet to work on real cases, and this was far away from what we expected from professionals. • suboptimal solutions prioritizing easy over best option, little transparency/clarity, we had to take important decisions in a hurry with little ( basically only one!) proposed option for no clear reason • Poor negotiation and difficult communication with the bank(s?) • Missed deadlines, and embarrassing situations with notary and seller • No acknowledgment or apology for the mistakes and problems caused. Basically, we expected experts to support us in this important milestone ( buying a house!). Instead, we initially found a very experienced person who had no time for us, coupled with a student who had no clue on how to handle a simple case. Not recommended.

A Finance colleague of mine at work who grew up in Basel also suggested we work with Swisschange. We can see now why everyone recommended Nancy so strongly and we are absolutely thrilled that we had the chance to work with her on our home mortgage and home purchase. We started exploring home buying in Basel-Land with Nancy in 2021 and she was extremely patient, very knowledgeable, and guided us for more than 1-year in our process and provided crucial input and information all along the way. We have bought several homes in the USA; however, this was our first home purchase in Switzerland. Nancy gave us a sense of what we could afford with our income, and suggested several banks that she would request financing offers from for us to then compare. Each has different affordability calculation methods and advertise several mortgage offers with different rates, conditions, and details. Nancy gave us very useful feedback on a new construction project we had found in Arlesheim, and she solicited offers from several banks and helped us assess each offer and decide on which one made the most sense for us. With Nancy's great support, we got an amazing mortgage and moved into our new home in July 2022. We would not be capable of buying a home in Switzerland or getting a good mortgage without Nancy's committed support and knowledge. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and we feel very fortunate. We give Nancy the highest recommendation, 5 stars!
