Just opposite to St Elisabethanlage and adjacent to BIS building, another massive building is standing. I found lot of people moving in and out. In front of it is a park. For those tourists who are freely exploring the city, here is brief information about Baloise. Baloise was founded in 1863 in Basel. From the beginning it was an insurance company and expanded globally. On 15 April 1912, when the Titanic sank Baloise contributed CHF 4 million to the loss. It is continuously striving hard to deliver better services to all stakeholders.

I am very disappointed with Baloise Household Insurance. When I needed support for a gas stove refund, they completely failed to deliver. Despite paying premiums and expecting fair coverage, my legitimate claim was rejected without clear justification. Their customer service was unhelpful, slow to respond, and showed no willingness to resolve the issue. Insurance is supposed to provide peace of mind, but instead, Baloise caused me stress and frustration. If you’re looking for an insurer that stands by its customers in times of need, I would not recommend Baloise.

Predators. I call my insurance company to ask if I’m properly covered for glass breakage and under what conditions. They tell me yes, and when they receive the garage’s invoice, they pay 2.95 CHF and leave me with 1,500 CHF to cover—claiming I didn’t go to a partner garage and that my deductible is 1,000 CHF. Since their contract isn’t clear, I deliberately called them to understand the conditions, which they failed to provide. Had I known, I would never have gone ahead with the repair. Now customer service tells me it’s my fault and refuses to acknowledge any responsibility on their part.

Sharks. They will "renew" your contract automatically, without the need for your signature, increasing the premium by 210%. If you miss their email, it's on you, and you're obliged to accept and pay them. Couldn't make this up.

I was happy with this insurance until I wanted to make some changes in my contract- I called several times and asked for a confirmation, once I got the wrong confirmation without the changes and once I didn‘t get amy confirmation. Every time I called them, they promised me that my changes would immediately be active, but it never happened. Have now decided to change to another insurance.
