IMPORTANT NOTE: Stay away from Movu. I don't know how it is possible, but they have deleted my previous review. On July 12th, the company I hired through Movu didn't come, and come one day late. Not only that: they came with a small van suitable for maybe 10 boxes, while I had clearly asked and paid for 50 boxes. They left without a word. For the rest of that traumatic day, I called Movu: When I told Movu about the company leaving, the "usual polite man" replaced himself with a lady who could speak English or French only at the basic level. She said they have go go to lunch first, and right after I hung up the phone, I received an email that "You request to cancelling our services has been approved". They paid my money back after three weeks. I was alone and was planned to move between two far away cities. The handover of the key was on the same day. It cost me at the very least 700 CHF and a trauma.

While I like the online products and the idea of a centralized quote system (instead of each moving company contacting me individually), MOVU disappointed a lot in their customer service. I asked to organize a visit instead of sending photos/videos, and they told me it was only possible on Mondays and Wednesdays during the day. I asked for flexibility as it was impossible during those times, and they did not want to find any solutions. When on the phone, I explained that it was hard to make their schedule work and not the other way around, and she simply said "Ok I will close your request on our system then". It always baffles me when business are willing to lose a client so easily.

I thought I'd use MOVU for my move, and if I had any problems with one of the service providers they recommend, I'd be able to count on their support. At best, in the event of a problem with one of the service providers, MOVU redirects you to your liability insurance and takes no action against the service provider who changes the agreed price on moving day, while your belongings are outside (after having damaged several pieces of furniture without informing the owner). If you live in the canton of Vaud and specify that you want a company from your locality, MOVU will push you to take a company from Geneva... who will take their time with the move and a lunch break of over 4 hours... only to complain about finishing the job late at night. I understand that MOVU just establishes the relationship between provider and customer. But they should check the reliability of its providers. Nothing worked, the relocation nor the cleaning service providers.

We booked our move within Switzerland with MOVU and they were flexible, patient and professional to find us the best quote. Our consultant Charlene is great, she speaks very good English and offered us several options based on our needs. We will use them again if needed.

The move went smoothly. The movers were very committed and worked hard. I can only recommend Movu and the moving company for their service.
