I didn't have the smoothest move in experience partly because of my own mistakes but there were significant issues with the property when I moved in relating to it's cleanliness and maintenance.<br><br>I can say that Tajinder and Chandan at Carrington Thorn were really responsive, quick and organised at managing the issues that I ran into.<br><br>Carrington Thorn have been very easy to get through to on the phone. Even though the agency is based in a different city to the property I was renting, Chandan was prompt and arranged the cleaning I needed within a week. It did massively inconvenience me in terms of movers and plans made, luckily I had an overlap with my previous home so I had somewhere to stay.<br><br>However I'm confused about this agency handover situation that supposedly was the cause of the issues. I think even if another agency is managing a property beforehand, the landlord should have been kept in the loop regarding the state of their property. It seems they were completely unaware.<br><br>There are difficulties with managing distant properties, for example the local inventory clerk who handed me my keys and did the check in inventory disappeared, which I suppose is more of a problem for Carrington Thorn and the landlord than me.<br><br>I think Chandan did the best he could in a bad situation and I can't fault the communication which has been good. I'm pleased my concerns were taken seriously and dealt with. But for my next time renting I would choose a local agent with an in house property management team if possible.

I was recommended this boutique agent to source two investment properties in Birmingham. I was amazed at how quickly they came up with the goods! We completed last week. A big shout out to Bobby and Taj who work incredibly well as a duo. What I was most impressed was their there no nonsense, transparent and assisted guide on where we were at any moment in the transaction .
