I had a fantastic experience with Places Birmingham! I had been renting with them for over a year and half. They have been nothing but professional and timely in resolving issues.

I have had a fantastic experience sincethe viewing, Tenancy commencement, Tenancy tenure and even the check out process.

A special mention to Kifung, Jasmin and Petra, each of them have been super supportive and very prompt in every communication. I highly recommend Places Birmingham especially if you’re looking for an apartment/home in Birmingham . Petra was helpful in every circumstance and they went above and beyond whenever I needed help. It was truly a pleasure being a tenant in one of their apartments.
As a landlord, I have been really impressed with Places. They manage the property well, are responsive and are a friendly and professional team. I would thoroughly recommend using them to manage your property.
My experience with Places was nothing short of exceptional. A specail thank you to Yasmin who demonstrated outstanding professionalism and make smooth at every stage of the process. She explained and break down everything in a way that was clear and easy to follow. . I am absolutely delighted of the guidance and the level of service received and would recommend Places without hesitation!
I've been with Jaspal, Petra, Jasmin and the team for many years now. They are professional, kind, and really helpful and are always quick and efficient in answering any queries and helping to iron out any of the usual challenges that come landlords ways. Thanks!
Rented out a digsuting flat, refused to repair latently discovered issues including a completely broken bed frame and soiled mattresses they flipped over. I never moved in and they still tried their scummy hardest to keep my deposit even after I returned the keys immediately. They also lied to TDS in order to get more off me to pay for the faults that already existed. And failed. 😂

They illegally amended the check in report that was completely incorrect and only issued repairs once legal action was taken by myself. They work with broke landlords and have very inexperienced, slimy and obnoxious staff. Steer clear.

The furniture pictured is allegedly new and unused and the tenant is liable to pay for if they wish to replace 🤢
Very good relationship and support.Very professional.
I had a very disappointing experience with this listing agency.

When we first arrived at the apartment, it was already in poor condition. The property was dusty and clearly had not been properly cleaned. Several issues were immediately noticeable: cupboard hinges did not stay open, curtain hooks were missing, and some of the lights ran out very early after moving in. There was significant limescale buildup in the toilet and shower, and one of the bathrooms even had silverfish.

We reported these problems, but communication from the agency was extremely poor. The maintenance manager (Female F) would often mark issues as “resolved” without properly investigating them. Occasionally contractors were sent to the apartment, but in most cases they did nothing and the problems remained unresolved.

One of the most serious issues involved the bedroom window. The listing did not mention that there was a problem with it. Only after we had viewed the apartment did the person showing it send a brief email mentioning the issue at the bottom of the message. We were told it would be fixed, but it never was. The window would not close properly and also would not open fully, which made the room very cold at night.

Instead of repairing the issue, the window was eventually sealed and effectively nailed to the frame, leaving us without proper ventilation. After continued pressure, we were told that there was no intention to fix the window because it would be too expensive. In other words, they expected tenants to continue living with a broken bedroom window.

When we raised concerns about tenant rights and the legality of the situation, their response only changed once they realised we understood our rights as tenants.

When we later negotiated leaving mid-contract, we left the apartment in the same condition as when we found it. Despite this, they still charged us for cleaning. We explained that the property had not been properly cleaned when we moved in, but this made no difference to them.

Another thing worth noting: communication before signing the contract was excellent — very responsive and helpful. However, once the contract was signed, communication dropped dramatically. Messages often went unanswered, and even the director showed very poor communication. At one point, when I raised concerns, I was told not to contact them anymore.

Overall, this was a very frustrating experience. I would strongly advise anyone considering renting through this agency to be extremely careful, document everything carefully, and ensure that any issues mentioned are properly fixed before signing a contract.
Acted as an agent for me for a rental property for nearly 15 years and can not fault them. They have always found excellent tenants and been very helpful supporting tenants and communicating with me as the landlord.
Would highly recommend.
good service
